Gather and allow me to tell you the story of Ardyn Lucis Caelum as I believe it unfolded.
This is a canon compliant-rewrite of Ardyn's origin told using sources from Final Fantasy XV, its lore and supplemental material before Dawn of The Future's retcons and discrepancies, but I did include some of the book's ideas that I felt worked. This rewrite was made as a labor of love for FFXV and Ardyn, I wrote this not to disrespect DOTF or its scenario writers, this story is simply how I would have written Ardyn's backstory and I hope you enjoy reading it!

Noct and Prompto, fresh from their breakup, embark on the journey that His Majesty had charged them with alongside Ignis and Gladiolus. Only two days into their journey, they learn of Insomnia's defeat and the death of the King. The Brotherhood must work together to set Lucis back to rights through their conflicted emotions.

They talk about Cor frequently; like how the "Immortal" nearly tripped and died over his own coffee table, or how he’d almost stabbed Clarus after a game of Uno, or how he "secretly" recorded early morning soap operas on his office TV.
