Crowley is a snek. Ever noticed reptile owners often have to wiggle the defrosted rodent around before their pet will recognise it as food and strike at it, then sometimes end up biting the tongs, or their own tail by accident? What if the reason we rarely see Crowley eating is because of precisely this problem?

“I love you.”
Aziraphale looked up, momentarily caught off guard. His brow furrowed faintly, and he straightened in his seat as though he’d misheard. His hands drifted to the hem of his waistcoat, fingers beginning to fidget in that habitual, unconscious way they did whenever he was processing something unexpected.
“Oh,” he said, blinking. “I wasn’t even doing anything.”
Crowley gave a small shrug, lips twitching into a crooked half-smile. “Yeah, I know.”

There’s a moment of silence. Aziraphale hardly breathes, scared beyond reason that somehow Crowley won’t love him back, won’t want him like that, despite all the evidence to the contrary.
“No,” Crowley says, and then he’s shaking his head, arms tightening around himself. “No, you don’t, you – you’ve never –”
Oh, my darling, Aziraphale thinks. Because this is – this is Crowley. So incapable of understanding that his love might be returned, that Aziraphale might feel the same for him.

Laudanum; who would have guessed that such a tiny bottle of the stuff was potent enough to make a demon go arse over tip?
Aziraphale surely hadn’t (and neither had Crowley, apparently, else he would have dumped the drink into the nearest empty crypt instead of necking it like a shot and smashing the glass like a git) but, nevertheless, here they were, dealing with the effects of a rather egregious combination of alcohol and opium.

What if Crowley hadn’t been summoned back down to hell at the end of The Resurrectionists minisode? Aziraphale would have taken care of an off his head on laudanum demon, that’s what.-

Crowley tries to deal with it on his own just as he had been doing for the past six millennia, but unlike the last thousands of years, he is not alone anymore, and Aziraphale isn't going to let Crowley struggle through anything on his own. Crowley’s saunter seemed off. Aziraphale had no other way to put it. Over 6,000 years he was used to the demon’s swaggering step, but the steps seemed more uneven than usual. There were several times he had to casually step aside to make more room so they didn’t run into each other.
And his walk was slower than usual, too. Usually the energetic demon walked a few steps ahead and it was all he could do to keep up. Aziraphale slowed down too, choosing to comment on the new restaurants nearby he wanted to try, taking a moment to pause and point those out so Crowley could keep pace without calling attention to it.
By the time they reached the park, Aziraphale found he couldn’t hold it in any longer.
“Are you sure you’re quite alright, dearest?”

Summary
Crowley and Aziraphale are moving again.
To a world that is apparently populated with 'wizards'. Humans with powers in a way, but nothing compared to the might of angels and demons.
In this world, while in snake form, Crowley stumbles across abused toddler Harry, hiding out in a park. Insisting that they keep him as a pet. Aziraphale only agreeing when he sees just how awful his relative are.
Now fast forward a little to the future and what was once a joke is very real now as Harry enjoys the carefree life that comes with being a pet and refuses any other title. Crowley and Aziraphale are just glad he's happy. Even if it means they have to keep answering to 'master' and buying him new collars to match his adorable outfits.
Soon Harry gets his Hogwarts letter and Aziraphale and Crowley couldn't be prouder or more sad to send him off. Despite his home sickness Harry is enjoying his new school life for the most part.
However, now that he knows of magic he's pretty sure his masters are fugitive wizards or something and refuses to give in to questions about his home life despite all the many warning signs something is wrong. He'll protect his masters not matter what. Just like they protect him.
