A well define concept, interesting character roles, and a great page turner! While there are some parts that are grace over and could've had more time to explore upon. I am deeply sadden that there isn't more. I love what we do have and honestly feel validating that other people also love both Nick Valentine and Hancock in equal amounts! It's inspiring in of it self and to think other people could see great works and potentially make their own!

Nate Finlay, the Man Out of Time, has taken command of the Gunners with the intention of burning the Institute to the ground and returning order to the Commonwealth as he knows best. If that necessitates brutality, then he has no problems with that.
Arthur Maxson, Elder of the East Coast Brotherhood of Steel, understands that war requires uncomfortable moral compromises. If that means a temporary alliance with the Gunners and a man who hates the Institute as much as he does, then so be it.
The ways of war are harsh. And those who forget or ignore history are doomed to repeat it.

Summary
Once he awakes from a 200 year long nap, Iden Venclaire (Male Sole Survivor), decides two things:
1. He would murder the bastard, who killed Nora.
2. He wouldn't kill any other human.The wastelands of the Commonwealth quickly question the sanctity of that decision, but Iden rises to the challenge, becoming the legendary figure 'Song'. Through his nearly superhuman ability to conceal himself, along with his fighting prowess, he manages to fight off many a challenge this new world throws at him.
It is then, that he finds and hires R. J. MacCready, a mercenary sniper, on the run from his old gang. Together, they wrestle with the wastes, each other's haunting past, and the complications of Song's promise, as they become a team (and maybe more?).
Yeah, this is slow burn, and the two of them are absolute dorks. Desk fans will be mentioned, there will be violence, combat, conversation and also feeeeeels. Most of it is going to be told from MacCready's perspective, though Iden/Song will be making an appearance now and then to lend us his POV.
I am diverging from canon quite a bit, though some parts will be recognizable.-

“You think so?” He questioned, bluntly.
“Oh I know so.” She said giving him a reassuring peck on the cheek. Her dark ebony skin compared greatly to his own pale tone. But his hair was just as dark as hers, black as the dead of night. They smiled at one another lovingly. They had been married for only a year, newly weds, but their love for one another never faltered. As he left the restroom he was greeted by a familiar sound. A turbine spinning and one happy butler robot speaking to him,
“Good morning, Sir. Walt! It is lovely to see you so gussied up.” The Mr. Handy said affectionately. -
