This is a hand-written manuscript of a journal I kept during my first playthrough of Fallout. Experience the game through the eyes of my Sole Survivor, Mark, as he struggles with depression, his identity as sole survivor, the concept of family, and searches for a reason to keep on going.
Hopefully this is a little different than the other fics out there, because it was hand-written in real-time as I was playing. I didn't have any spoilers, no idea what was going to happen next. I want it to feel as authentic as possible. SPOILERS for quite a lot of the game.

Within the concrete structure of vault 111. But after the process of being preserved, he was woken up. What time was it? No...no....what year? He watched the baby be taken and his love interest murdered, but he could do nothing... 200 years later he makes it to the surface only to find that the world he once new was turned into a hellish wasteland. Within weeks of hard work and traveling he has become the man that everyone talks about. Who everyone asks for. He helps all and continues to wander. Every so often stopping back at the red rocket. His name is alfred f. Jones. And he does not want to be found by his fellow countries, if they even bothered to try. Said countries are trying their hardest to make up for what they have done to this unfortunate American personification. Especially russia. But they must find him first. But will they except or reject america after they've seen what he has become?

Summary
A collection of pieces I am writing to detail the journey of my Sole Survivor, after I made the ‘mistake’ of turning a particularly epic encounter with a Deathclaw into a short story and sharing it with the enablers I call friends. For a time afterwards I was insanely considering doing a pseudo-novelisation of the entire vanilla storyline, but a series of shorter stories in roughly chronological order is a much more feasible undertaking, so here we are.
This was going to include everything from one-shots to multi-chapter epics, fluff, action, angst, romance, and a number of times where glitches or other radiant silliness that happened during my play-through wrote the plot instead of the script that Bethesda gave us.The focus was trying to take a more realistic and less romanticised take on Fallout 4: Things deviate from the in-game events from time to time for the purposes of presenting a deeper, more believable story, with a number of hidden messages and overarching themes.
However, life goes on and I have lost my will to write more, so what is here now is what it will forever be. I hope people still find joy from it.
