Daeron’s long exile had turned him into a strange creature. So closely aligned to the Music that he could quiet down the voice of the wind in the trees with a sweet phrase and the turn of his wrist, quiet the sound of the surf with the might of his minstrelsy.
Maglor, it had become swiftly apparent when they met once more, found it entirely disarming to be disarmed.

Two sparrows sat upon an elm branch, sheltered and silent. They watched as a few Golodhrim emerged from the eastern gates of Menegroth, circling and calling their names. They watched when several of them found the packs, hidden as if in haste beneath a stone cairn. One of them left the packs there and went within, and soon after a tall Golodh with hair like sunset came out and stumbled to the ground beside them.
The Golodh seemed to be grieving. He clutched the packs to his chest with one hand, for the other was cut off at the wrist, and called their names; but they held still, very still.
They looked upon him and did not trust him: the Golodh’s garments were still splattered with blood, red as his hair.
The snow began to fall in earnest then, as the day faded, and the Golodh remained there, calling them until his voice was hoarse.

Daeron leaves Doriath chasing after Lúthien, whom he cannot bear to lose. However, Lúthien's journey takes her west and then north of Doriath, while Daeron goes far, far east. It turns out he's not just bad at directions, this mistake was very deliberate.

The moment Maeglin Lómion's body hit the rocks beneath the cliff he thought it was the end.
His death at the hands of those he tried to save even though they constantly misunderstood him. He knew that death would be no reprieve as he would now be forever known as the "Traitor of Gondolin."
However, it would seem Eru Ilúvatar had other plans. The moment Maeglin died his soul was sent back to the past with his mairan powers now awakened. Back to when he still had a chance to save himself and flee the toxicity of the white city he had once loved.
Follow Maeglin Lómion's second chance at life through the ages. And how it seems there
are others that remember the former timeline.This story is long so forgive any grammatical errors.
This story is a one-shot and just came to me.

Long ago, in his younger years, Maglor used to think of the whole world as his audience, but as he is now, terribly old and weary, he shied away from the stage. He no longer deserved it.
Once Noldolantë was completed, he sang it to exhaustion, and buried it, fighting it back and swallowing it down when he could feel his Song wanting to escape into the open again.
It hurt, and that…that, he thought, he deserved.

Maglor sat frozen, eyes glaring brighter than even his carefully crafted glasses could dampen, illuminating his home in the ever-shifting light of the Trees. He wondered, somewhat distantly, if his neighbors would demand compensation for scorching them with Treelight at three in the morning, and if they'd accept the gold he'd been digging out of Himring's long-buried vaults.
He settled his ever-restless fea back into a body not meant to contain it for so long, stowing the Treelight away from the windows and back into his spirit, and yet he could not shake the mist of dread that had since shrouded his living room.The Doors of Night are broken and the Second Prophecy is nigh. Maglor must now face the music of his past, in both the figurative and literal sense.
