Summary
When Hearthstone, a Capitol-born sent to the Districts, pulls a daring stunt that makes District 12 the first ever to have 2 male Tributes, he's tasked with being sent to a kill-or-be-killed arena, with 23 other children, and to come back alive. This would be manageable if he didn't come to the surprising realization that he didn't want his fellow Tribute to die. Especially since there can only be one survivor.
That throws a bit of a wrench in his plans.
(Or: Blitz and Hearth struggle in the situation where they're getting attached just for one of them to be doomed to die, and don't know how to deal with it.)

Summary
Pantheons collide, Time is changed, and gods are leaving—for good. Something is rising in the pits of Tarturas, something dark and persuasive. Convincing the gods to fade is only the beginning. The world is growing darker. In the Egyptian world, an Egyptian god has broken free.
Fate is being written in stone, changing what has been known. The world is dying, and 3 forgotten gods are taking over, masking the world in darkness. There is a shed of hope though; a group of demigods, magicians, and magical creatures are sent spiralling through time to fix what's right—which is to bring back the gods. Yes, it's as hard as it sounds.
Trying to find something personal to the gods is hard, but it's even harder when the 3 gods are on your tail, trying to kill you before you can complete your mission. As the end of time draws nearer, one word travels through each Heroes mind: One has to die.
Follow some of your favourite Side Characters, and some Main Characters as they travel through time to stop the world from ending.

Hermes pays a visit to Freya. I don't want to give too much away and spoil it:) If you enjoyed it, please comment below to let me know and maybe I'll continue! Hermes is one of my favorite characters in Greek mythology and I wish he had more screen time (so to speak) in Rick Riordan's books, so I'm giving him attention here.
I also think it's ridiculous that in Trials of Apollo Hermes never turns up once, especially while they're having communications problems throughout the first four books. Communication is Hermes' turf, for gods' sake. The entire time I was reading Trials of Apollo I kept shouting "Where the hell is Hermes?!"
So here he is, and I hope to write enough to explain where he was during the whole communication debacle and explain why he was too preoccupied to do anything about it.- Language:

MAGNUS CHASE would rather get through this without Alex dying. If he can survive too, that's a bonus.
ALEX FIERRO would rather not deal with Magnus's crazy uncle that was responsible for Magnus's death.
When January rolls around, Magnus and Alex have to get ready for the storm. Surt's going to be coming for Sumarbrander soon and the rope holding Fenris is about to break. But then he remembered what Loki had done to Samirah in the wight's barrow. The trickster god hadn't even needed words, just snapped his fingers and she'd collapsed onto the ground completely unresponsive.
