It’s been three full years since Noah García arrived in Pelican Town. Moonstone Farm is the pride of the valley. The community center is repaired, JojaMart is gone, the movie theater is up and running, regular ferries travel to and from Ginger Island, Pelican Town thrives. Everyone loves him. He’s the town hero.
He’s so bored.
There’s no challenge in anything anymore. It comes too easy. He wants something new – anything.
Then one day a letter arrives with no return address. And nothing will ever be quite the same.

Summary
This is a story based on mine and my friend's playthrough for Stardew as it became Multiplayer and I got back into it. We've had a couple of interesting moments and both of us just got married in-game so I figured it'd be good to make on my word to them and write this.
This story will be written entirely in the perspective of the villagers and not of the farmers, and there may be some smut in here but I haven't decided yet.-

"Rough trip?" Gil asked, looking up with concern as Marlon opened the door with more force than he'd intended, the strong wind of the storm blowing the handle out of his hand.
"What makes you think that?" Marlon asked as he wrestled the door closed, sliding the lock into place for good measure.
"Aside from your grand entrance?" Gil replied, wincing with pain as he stood and crossed the room. "Hmm…" he took Marlon's bag from him and walked toward the stairs leading to the small apartment they shared above the shop. "Maybe the fact that you weren't supposed to come back until tomorrow night."

Beloved Mona. What a sick fucking joke. Gil's eulogy painted the picture of a sweet, kind woman, who was innocent and caring. The woman who loved Gil with tenderness, a sacred bond Marlon couldn't hope to know with her.
He listened anyway, hoping for a taste of the love she had given Gil. Maybe hearing about her and imagining the scenes Gil had witnessed would be good enough to carry him through until he fell into his final sleep. Maybe.
