Summary
Gwen's known Arthur Pendragon since she was four years old. From the moment they met the two have been at odds. If Gwen could have it her way, she never would lay eyes on him again. The trouble is Gwen's best friends with his sister Morgana and so for the last 21 years, she'd been stuck dealing with him and his arrogant, handsome face...wait did she say handsome...she meant pompous.
Over the years Arthur and Morgana have become well-established high-profile actors, whilst Gwen has been working as Morgana’s PA. Now that Morgana and Arthur are filming a movie together in Las Vegas, Gwen’s going to be seeing a lot more of him. However, she’s a grown woman so Gwen figures it’s nothing she can’t handle...right up until the moment she wakes up married to him…that had definitely not been part of the plan...

Summary
And yes, at times, she wishes that for one person, for at least one person, she might be enough. Enough to have them be alright, with her. Feel good. Feel her love, and have that be enough. Yes, she wishes.
And maybe that’s her problem, in the end.
Because, see, here’s the thing.
Gwen loves. Perhaps too much for her own good; too much for anyone’s own good, in fact.
--
Gwen has always felt things very acutely, always loved people very deeply, and all her life, she's heard people say that caring 'too much' was a weakness, that it's something most people shouldn't bother to do.
But then she begins to realise that maybe that's not entirely true. -

This little story charts Gwen's life from childhood to (implied) death - but don't let that put you off! Much like the song this is written as a celebration and embrace of all life has to give. It's inspired by a song, Dreams by Priscilla Ahn. Check out the notes for a link to listen to it (highly recommended!)

Summary
The quiet language of flowers was something that Gwen learned in her mother's lap.
Eirene was the one who taught Gwen that flowers had their own hidden language. Gwen would sit in her mother’s lap and look at the pretty pictures in Eirene’s precious book. She knew it was old, and Eirene never let her touch it alone because it was expensive, but Gwen loved it all the same. She learned to read from that book and learned the secret language of the world around her while wrapped in her mother’s arms

Summary
Of course, she should have expected Chris McLean to come and interrupt her life again some day. She just expected more explosions and screaming, not a single, unassuming letter in the mailbox.
Dear Gwen,
We welcome you back for one last adventure on Total Drama Island. As you know, the ten year anniversary is coming up and it wouldn’t truly be a reunion without you. We implore you to show up, as it is essentially an all paid for vacation, and by implore, we mean you have to come. It’s literally in the original contract that you signed that you have to come back for a reunion. We would hate for you to suffer the consequences of not fulfilling your contract.
See you soon, dude.
Chris
Gwen sighs, running her fingers across the edge of the paper. “What a polite threat.”
