Summary
Hajime wondered how much longer he can go on before he snaps. Completely.
One step. Two.
He braces himself once again. He realized it adapted into an instinctive defense. For someone who hadn't had the need to do so for the past twenty years of his life, it was surprisingly easy to fall into this habit as if it fitted his skin perfectly, like it was meant to be and always will be. And God knows if its healthy.
At least he could take comfort, like a fall from the highest building saved by a life net, that it was definitely healthier in face of what was to come.
Three. Four.
Doorknob cold to the touch just like Hajime's blood. A twist. It opens. Reveals a boy in bed, setting sun splaying patterns all over and around him, skin pale even under the darkening sky.
A breeze blows , frail but swayed the even frailer boy in the expanse of white sheets that threatened to dwarf him further.
The boy turns, gone was the smile that appears whenever he sees Hajime, but at least Hajime was anchored by the remaining twinkle in his eyes or he fear he would crumble.
The eyes compelled him forward. Iwa-chan, they say.

As the two turn around to head back into the inn, still chatting amongst themselves, Oikawa heaves a sigh of relief. He’s not sure why that whole conversation was so difficult to watch, or why he was tensed the entire time, but at least it’s over now.
And then Sugawara turns his head at just the last moment, catching his eye. He gives him a knowing smile right before he and Iwaizumi enter the inn, and Oikawa’s world tilts off axis.
A terse lump forms in his throat. “I—” he begins, hate you already on the tip of his tongue, but the syllables don’t form.
“—wish I could hate you,” comes out instead, raw and honest and brimming with agony.

Summary
Welcome to Miyagi Prefectures Summer Camp™, where the stakes are high, the spikes are higher, and Oikawa Tooru somehow has every single person within a 5-mile radius questioning their sexuality. Unfortunately, he’s also stuck playing on the same team as Ushijima “Emotions Are For The Weak” Wakatoshi.
Tensions rise. So does the temperature. So do literally all of Karasuno, Seijou, and Shiratorizawa as they collectively lose their minds watching these two bicker like divorced parents in denial.
What starts as “haha wouldn’t it be funny if they kissed” turns into meticulously plotted matchmaking schemes featuring:
- Several volleyball matches that devolve into custody battles over the juniors
- At least one miscommunication so catastrophic it almost ends in murder-by-volleyball
- Multiple attempts at jealousy that only serve to inflate Oikawa’s already godlike ego
- And Kiyoko being the only emotionally stable person in a 10-mile radius, carrying this mess like Atlas with a migraine.
All in all, its a training camp unlike anything they've seen before.

Summary
In middle school, Hajime had never looked at Kageyama as anything more than an underclassman.
In his last year of high school, during Seijoh's practice match against Karasuno and after two years apart, that all changed. The next few months saw Hajime falling fast for a pair of familiar blue eyes and a shockingly crass attitude. Oikawa could feel the grey hairs coming in already.
It wasn't all smooth sailing though, feelings of inadequacy and the lingering effects of Oikawa's behaviour in middle school making Kageyama hesitant to believe any of it was true.

“Who is our ace?”
That’s the damned question. That’s the damned question he’s been trying to avoid, and by the way Matsukawa looks at him, he knows it.
Oikawa shuts his eyes. “Mattsun.”
“Who is our ace, Oikawa?”
“Mattsun.”
“Matsu, hey, lay off-”
“Makki is, Mattsun, who else?”
He chokes on the words. It feels like a betrayal. Even to Oikawa himself it sounds like a lie. He doesn’t open his eyes, doesn’t see Matsukawa’s expression, but he can imagine it just as well.
“You don’t believe that, Oikawa.”
Oikawa exhales, shakily, before walking again - this time, at a faster pace, intentionally leaving the other two behind. One of them tries to follow him - the other holds him back.
Matsukawa is right, after all. Oikawa doesn’t believe himself either.
OR: Iwaizumi Hajime is dead. Of course, Oikawa Tooru hasn't really admitted that to himself yet.
OR OR: Aoba Johsai loses their ace after Inter-High, and they scramble to pick up the pieces.

It was quarter before midnight when Tooru suddenly grabbed the hem of alpha’s jacket to make him stop walking. When Hajime turned to look at his friend, he was reminded of that day several months ago when Tooru already had his first heat and had troubles with looking him in the eyes for a while. His face was red but he had a determined glint visible in his eyes and when he finally opened his mouth to say, "I love you,” Hajime stopped breathing just for a moment with his heart doing somersaults.
Tooru’s beautiful smile when he heard an “I love you too” in response to his confession was worth all that waiting.Just some soft story about underage but wholesome mates.
