Summary
For fourteen years, Aeris thought Midgar was noisy. Loud sounds reverberated off of the upper plate and mixed with the hum of electrical wires, the low rumble of the mako pumps in the reactors, and the people- So many people chattering, gossiping, shouting, living. Midgar was a city of noise and venturing outside of it could only lead to blissful pools of silence. She changed her mind when she left with Avalanche. Or rather, her opinion changed when they left Kalm. Before that the world had been far too full of wonders and sights to stare at (Real grass! Trees! Flowers! The open sky!) and even staying at the Kalm inn (a whole new town!) was so different she never noticed the noise.
Aeris has trouble sleeping outside of Midgar.

Summary
Aeris’s first planned adventure was an easy choice. Retrace the path Avalanche took around the world – up to the same point their steps diverged from hers. Once there she could take the step beyond and complete the journey she missed out on. Cid muttered something about not getting stranded and a few days later handed her a satellite phone.
Aeris takes an opportunity to recreate and re-live Avalanche's journey across the Planet.

Summary
Aerith always wanted to dance, but there was only one person she ever wanted to dance with: her dense but amazing girlfriend, Tifa Lockhart.
A short drabble that deviates from the canon and proposes an alternate ending in that Aerith survives the entire calamity of FF7 and everyone is alive and happy (except Zack).

Summary
The problem started with what seemed like tinnitus. A small complaint; Cloud mentioned it off-hand once what remained of the Highwind made it to Midgar. A faint ringing. Could have come from numerous causes. Multiple trips into the Lifestream, the roar of Holy bursting from the North Crater, the explosions as the Highwind shed sections, the destruction of Meteor...
Meteor is destroyed. But while the world rebuilds, Cloud's hearing worsens.

Summary
A soft noise in the dark. Momentary disorientation. This was not home, not the cells in the Shinra building. Memory returned. Kalm. And relative safety. The sound came again. Muffled and indistinct. Another sound from Tifa’s bed. A sniff and a sob.
Tifa was crying. “Hey.” Aeris kept her voice soft. Sometime in the early hours of the morning; everyone would be asleep. “Are you okay?”
Aeris wakes during the night while the party stays at Kalm.

Summary
“And these flowers-“ Aeris touched the stems. “I could have sold each one on the Upper Plate for three hundred gil – at absolute worst.” She stared at them. “And two hours away from the city they’re just here out in the open.” She sighed. “Guess I can’t complain too much; if people came out here for flowers I’d have never sold a thing.”
On the way from Kalm to Midgar Tifa points out some wildflowers to Aeris.

Summary
"I want all of you to find your own reason to fight. But don't worry; I won't hold it against any of you if you choose to not come back."
Cloud turned away from them all, looking out through the front of the Highwind, arms resting heavily on the railing. Aeris glanced around the members of Avalanche and the Highwind crew as their attentions turned inwards, each now musing on Cloud's words. Vincent was the first to leave the bridge, his cloak swishing as he turned and stalked away. Cid went next, head bowed, trailed a few moments later by the crew; loyal to the end. Barret fidgeted nervously, almost stepping forward to say something before reconsidering and just walking away. Nanaki nodded to the flower girl before he too slipped from the room, passing Yuffie who was frowning, eyes turned towards the deck. She looked straight at Cloud, caught Aeris's eye; the ninja mouthed 'Take care of him' before she darted silently away.
After Tifa sacrificed herself to prevent Aeris's death in the City of the Ancients, the flower girl finds herself left with Cloud on the Highwind the night before the final battle with Sephiroth.

Summary
“But-“ Aeris let out a frustrated sigh. “Are you an alien?”
Tifa shrugged. “From your perspective, sure. From mine same is true.”
“You’re just going to admit that? That you’re from space?” Aeris glanced over her shoulder. “Why would I even try to refute that given the space-ship and the genetic assassins-“
“Not assassins,” Tifa interrupted. “I mean, they can do that, but they were intent on taking you. Otherwise there’d be no building left.”
A perfectly normal day for Aeris Gainsborough in her job cleaning the Shinra building. That is until the strangers turn up to kidnap her and a rather attractive woman helps her escape.

Summary
Traveling the world was an aspiration at first – once Aeris learned the world was larger and more complex than the series of metal and glass rooms Hojo insisted on keeping her within. There was a vastness outside of the Shinra building in the form of Midgar around it (after learning what a city was in relation to her tiny world). There was a greater vastness beyond in the form of the Planet (and further out still; the solar system, the galaxy, the universe), the notion of what the name meant now clearer. Youth was the obstacle at first and Aeris contented her curiosity with books and magazines, television programs and films to catch glimpses and impressions of the larger world.
A tragedy gives Aeris the chance to see the world.

Summary
The first time Aeris walked on grass was the morning after they arrived in Kalm. The group delayed until they had gathered supplies and provisions for the trek ahead. Grass was amazing; so much of it and growing so easily. The notion of walking on it never occurred to her before; in Midgar she had the choice of poisoned ground or damaging her flowers.
Aerith likes to walk bare-foot over new terrain

Summary
The Maiden was pure – and in remaining pure could engineer a victory over the forces of darkness. A noble victory at the cost of her own life. But did the opposite hold true? Was it possible to use the novel’s themes in a perverse manner, make the text an inverted guide to corruption instead of purity? How not to wind up like the Maiden. If her power rested on purity, Aeris would give into corruption.

A really good story that I feel knows Aeris' character better than the FFVII compilation did.
