Summary
In a society in which around half of the population have augments, Tommy-Innes, a regular boy, if not rather obnoxious, wished he had the ability to make a difference to society.
To finding his missing mother, Kristin, specifically.
However, after a strange interaction with some musical fortune teller, something awakens inside of him, and he finds his entire world flipped upside down as he makes the idiotic decision to become a vigilante under the alias Medium.
On his search for Kristin, he unexpectedly crosses paths with a member of the Syndicate, Protesilaus, a fearsome man who carried a familiar aura with himself, and the two form a somewhat standard level of respect for one another and make a truce.
But as secrets unravel surrounding those he thought were faithful, Tommy starts to realise that perhaps the ghostly whispers dancing through his eardrums were more reliable than he thought, and he begins to grow conflicted on who he can truly trust when a supernatural force is trying to corrupt the entire city of L'Manburg, then Essempi as a whole.
And only Tommy knows of the unspoken truths behind it all.
