Phil doesn’t travel to the Nether often. It was far to dangerous to make regular trips and it just wasn’t worth it. But he can’t put it off any longer as his tools need to be repaired and he’s out of netherite. So a trip to the Nether it was.
One thing leads to another and soon enough he’s forced to bring his son along with him through the fire filled wastelands. But for the first time it isn’t Wilbur who turns one of his trips around, but an injured piglin who Wilbur clings onto way to fast to be healthy.
Or; I try and make a fic about flowers and it somehow turns into found family.

Techno ran to him. "What...? Are you okay?" He aked.
Wilbur gasped, Technoblade next to him look with some preoccupation his brother apparently dying before this one said "You idiot" and pick up some grass and trow it to his face.

The Nether has long been forbidden from entry, stories of piglins defending their home from any who enter leading the overworld to take measures to ensure none could.
Due to this lack of knowledge, no one knows how old he is, and most would simply rather assume he's a little short.
After all, no child could be adept enough to take out someone twice his size on the regular.
Techno understands this reasoning, and sees no merit in challenging it.

It’s nice to know that when the apocalypse comes, the raccoons are there for you. Raccoons dont trick you to go into stores then stab you, raccoons don’t try and murder you and most of all raccoons don’t cause you emotional pain because its virtually impossible to get attached to a raccoon in Technos honest experience with the devils spawn. Most of the time, the most a raccoon will do is hiss at you then steal your hard earned beef jerky you stole from an abandoned CVS--but, at least unlike people, the experiences of raccoons stealing from you in the apocalypse are rare, randomly occurring, isolated incidents.
OR: techno is a kid living in the apocalypse. wilbur is the king of rats. (also ranboo and tommy are there as a cat and raccoon but that's not the focus of the whole thing.)
