Summary
Zelda's mind pulls itself through tar, heaving past every point of exhaustion. She pushes on, her missteps clawing in and dragging after her.
She'd come to the desert to excuse herself from most of her pressures, to remedy her growing agitation. Alas; A blonde boy and his sword of legend was never far.
With so much to bare, she can't afford to dwell-- But she knows she can only do so much to be perfect. Yet, she is determined to handle it all to the best of her abilities, for everyone's sake. She only wishes she could fool herself into believing it didn't hurt so greatly.
Her determination feels fruitless.
--One cohesive and continued narrative, starting from the build up to memory 7: Blades of the Yiga tracing the whole story of Zelda's time preparing for Calamity, and all the things about her relationship with others. Especially her relationship with someone whose destiny is tied with hers.
Very zoomed in Zelda POV; All her woes and feelings, Link-related or not! Occasional similarly zoomed in Link POVs for extra fun. Excuse any grammar or spelling issues, I'm using this fanfic to teach myself proper grammar and spelling!
I may also mess up lore in minor ways, I am trying my best.

The fog vanished. Zelda blinked, feeling strangely dizzy and- hold on. Her clothes felt strange. She couldn't sense the Great Fairies' blessings, they just felt normal now, and...And...Her bow and arrows! They were gone. But how?
Link was frowning at the slate. "All our weapons are gone," he said. "And our food, clothes and elixirs." He scowled as he attached the slate to his belt. "I hate this monk."
Even the Master Sword was missing from his back. This monk certainly had some nerve.

Summary
Hyrule prepares for war as Calamity stirs. Champions are appointed great beasts to protect their lands. An ancient army of weapons built for this very purpose is awoken to action. The gears of a plan 10,000 years in the making begin to click into place. It needs a new hero who will aid the goddess-blood princess in sealing darkness away.
A young but talented knight named Link is plucked right out of the royal guard for this very task. He soon discovers that the fighting isn't the hard part - Princess Zelda is beautiful, clever, and VERY good at running away.
It takes both Wisdom and Courage to reconcile fate and freedom, duty and passion, success and failure. This story follows our hero and princess as they go from reluctant allies to friends, friends to best friends, and best friends to... well, we'll see.
Alternating POV, but a little more time in Link's. Will reference/depict all memories as of DLC2 with some changes in order because it's absolutely infuriating how geographically ridiculous they are if you go by the official chronology.

Summary
Royal Knight Link Hallowell, Champion of Hyrule, was the most curious of creatures. Since being assigned as Princess Zelda’s personal knight, Sir Link was never seen without the Master Sword, either strapped securely to his back, or firm in his grasp, blade out and ready.
It was unnerving how her rage against him due to her father’s orders dulled to indifference, to concern. Zelda could not name a time she had seen any emotion on her knight’s face. Not when he was reprimanded in front of his entire squadron (oh, how Zelda loathed her father), not when he won spar after spar against the other soldiers, not even when he was given a whole week off duty to visit his family. It was as if he was made of technology, created without emotion.
However, Zelda knew he couldn’t be robotic. Not when he bled for the kingdom to protect her. Logically, Zelda also knew that, had Sir Link been a robot programmed to protect her, he still wouldn’t have hesitated to jump in front of her, but she was certain that her knight was human, no matter how much he acted like he wasn’t.
