Ch 1 You know, do you think the old man would have loved your ‘brother’ more?” Aurélien broke the silence, speaking conversationally. “He still has that drive he'd drilled in you. He took your place in the Knights. He has that loyalty your father died with. Maybe we can even say he did love him more.” Diluc scoffed at the word ‘loyalty’, but offered no more reaction. Loyalty and Kaeya? Could these two words even be slotted together anymore? Bitterness rose in his chest. Diluc knew Aurélien wanted to mess with him. His father loved- had loved them both equally.
He glanced down at Diluc who hadn't yet dropped his stubborn glare and flashed that same infuriating smirk. “Well, believe it or not now… it'll become ‘truth’ for you. Sooner or later.”
He paused as he reached his destination and pushed open a heavy door. “...Oh, wait!” He paused dramatically.
Diluc's blood ran cold seeing the room. There it was, around the hospital bed with straps that lay in the middle. The memory transference device; a dull helmet heavy with wires. A particularly long wire protruded from the back, sticking to a large metallic machine with all kinds of bright buttons and a screen interface.

“For a werewolf, especially a beta whose pack has deserted him, the healing process would take months. Months of unbearable, unmitigated pain, as muscle and skin slowly knit themselves back together, because werewolves metabolize painkillers too quickly for them to be effective.”

Also: While this story is horror based, people who’ve played Bart will know just how annoying it is when a scientist locks you in a trash shoot, a security guard kills someone for no reason, you accidentally close yourself in a chamber full of Barts and get jumped, you’re the only one searching for batteries when the power goes out, a dev joins and suddenly all the security guards are an inch tall… you get the image. This will have “comedic” aspects based off incidents such as those for the funnies.
