    Binghe barely had time to feel disappointed in this answer before the being was leaning forward, its long body easily crossing the gap between them, crawling on hand and knees like a dog. Its hair and tongue both dragged across the dirt with a heavy slithering noise. One big, clawed hand came up to surround Binghe’s head like the bars of a cage. With all of the care of someone handling a baby animal, the being rested its large palm on Binghe’s head and stroked. The texture of its skin was like polished jade, smooth and unyielding, but warm as blood. Equally warm, dry breath brushed over his face from that fanged mouth which hovered inches away from his, the tongue held coiled just above his lap. There was barely any expression to read on what passed for a face, but that voice was just as warm and gentle as the palm cradling his skull when it said, “Wasn’t it because you wanted to save yourself?”

    Instead of a transmigrator, Shen Yuan is a symbiote. It's kind of ruined his life.
