    It's been here for seven generations, but every single building is new, (I know this for certain because I helped build half of them.)

    We have fishing, hunting, and a charming view of the sunsets,(if you are into that kind of thing.) The only problems are the blasted pests. You see most places have mice, or mosquitoes, we have... dragons. Yeah, most people would leave, but we are vikings, hard-headed and live for the fight.

    My name's Burp. Yeah, Yeah, laugh it up, I know it's not so great a name. But it's not the worst. Parents believe a hideous name will frighten off gnomes and trolls. Though if they ever met us in battle they should fear us anyway.'

    For three centuries, vikings and dragons lived in a brutal war that seemed it would only end when one side was wiped out. For most of his life, Hiccup was an outcast for being a runt that did things differently. Then everything changed when Hiccup befriended a dragon.

    Now the two sides are at peace and the dragons have begun to live among them in the village. Hiccup now has the respect of his village and is entrusted to map out this new era as the leader of the dragon riders. Probably the thing that blows his mind the most is that he now has the returned love of the girl he’s spent years crushing on.

    However, while the war might be over new dangers lurk. Not everyone on Berk wants peace with dragons and will do anything to be rid of them. Not every dragon they meet is friendly or willing to trust them. Other tribes find out about Berk’s new way with dragons and want that power for themselves.

    Hiccup has many more trials ahead of him. Thankfully he has Toothless, Astrid, and the riders to face it with him.

    (First part of a series mixing the movie verse with book lore. Takes place during Riders/Defenders of Berk.)
