Summary
A remarkable "braided novel" of 8 stories and novellas which Macedon wrote in tandem with the equally remarkable Peg Robinson. Too sprawling (in the grand sense) in scale and reach to reduce to a mere synopsis; let us just say that this is Voyager unfettered and red in tooth and claw, such as Paramount with its nice tidy pander-to-the-demographics mentality could only dream of producing. Faith, community, alienation and belonging, honest conflict between Maquis and Starfleet, and the realities of life far from home and safety. These are just a few of the things Macedon and Peg handled with discretion and grace.
From Macedon: I recently learned that my friend of many years, Peg, passed away in her sleep September 3, 2024. If you were or are a fan of the Talking Stick series and Peg's fiction, please think softly on her and light some sage or tobacco in her memory for the wonderful stories she gave to us.

Summary
Shore leave on the idyllic planet Taldora Prime seems like a home away from home for the Voyager crew, however things turn icy when Captain Janeway refuses to "take care of" the Cammiern - a renegade group terrorizing outworlders. Premier Briv'oin isn't happy, but Voyager leaves the Taldoran system with shortened shore leave as the only issue...or is it.
Things aren't usually as they seem in the Delta Quadrant, and when something is going well, it's always best to be prepared for the worst - danger and tragedy. Now, it's up to the Captain to put things right once and for all, and she faces the biggest decision of her life - save herself or her crew.

Captain Chakotay on Voyager A gets some disturbing news about a conference that Admiral Janeway had been attending. Set a year after Season 2 of Prodigy.

His sister smiled at him fondly. “Of course, I like her. I just find her…”
Gods, thought Chakotay, bracing himself for what was coming.
“...a little larger than life sometimes. Not on purpose. She doesn’t act any differently. She’s just…the hero that brought Voyager home from 70 light years away. Anyone would know that…not just if you worked in Starfleet. And she’s the hero that brought you home from 52 years in the future. She defies the odds every time. Does that make any sense?”
Chakotay chuckled and nodded. “No, I understand. She’s been a captain of a starship, and now she’s an admiral. These roles suit her...but they do tend to make one larger than life. She has to be in order to be a good leader, which she is. She’s…” Chakotay tried to find the words, “...she is a hero. She doesn’t think of herself like that…but she is. She just…burns brightly...all good leaders do, but it can be a bit dazzling.”
---
“Besides,” said Kathryn with a half smile, “I needed to save you from my new aide. I think she’s half in love with you. She keeps on peppering me with questions about you. Captain Chakotay who gave up everything to save Starfleet. Captain Chakotay, coming back to save Starfleet again after a 10 year exile and marrying the love of his life. That last part is my addition by the way.”
---
Chakotay quickly squeezed Kathryn’s hand. “I’m going to get the Voyager A crew gathered and ready for transport, but I want you to meet me back here in 30 minutes.” He looked pointedly at her. “Don’t come looking for me. Just come back here and wait for me. I’ll come to you.” Chaktoay could tell he had confused her. “I’ll come back to you,” he repeated just to be clear.
“But why…?”
“I know it’s ridiculous…but it's going to be confusing and chaotic in a few minutes and I don’t want you to have to find me in this crowd. If either one of us is going to look like a besotted first year academy cadet in love it’s going to be me. I’ll come to you. It’ll look more respectful.”
“Besotted…?” That caused Kathryn to laugh.
Chakotay loved the sound of her full laughter and for a second his mind transported him back to New Earth where, near the end of their stay, they shared a lot of laughter. Chakotay wanted more of that laughter so, despite his slight embarrassment, he confessed. “Yes, besotted. I may…have read several of the books that inspired the holoovels you used when we on our Voyager together.”
Kathryn’s eyes went wide in surprise, but her grin was worth it. “You didn’t?!”
“I did. I had a lot of time on Ysida. It…it was a way for me to feel close to you…”
Kathryn blinked slowly and Chakotay could tell she was touched. More than touched. Chakotay lived to make her feel special and remembered, loved and cared about. Kathryn would be the first to admit he was the more thoughtful one out of the two of them, but that was only because Kathryn had so much to think and worry about. They could, and did, promote him to captain, but they could never take the first officer duty out of his heart. Secretly, Chakotay was also pleased that he could still surprise Kathryn after all these years.
There was going to be sorrow at their parting soon and Chakotay couldn’t stomach Kathryn being introspective now. He wanted to hear that sound of her laughter again so he said, “So Jane Eyre, I didn’t figure out that Mr. Rochester was keeping his wife in the attic. That was a twist. Oh, and Wuthering Heights, I didn’t like it at all, what with Heathcliff and Catherine making themselves and their mates' lives miserable too. There was one great quote in that book though. ‘Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.’ Now the one I really liked was Pride and Prejudice.” Chakotay smirked. “I think I really like those enemies to lovers stories.”
That did it. Kathryn laughed and swatted at him. “You know, Chakotay, that Maquis intelligence report they gave me on you when I was sent to capture you never did you justice.”
Now Chakotay was laughing, “I’ve been told that before.”

Summary
Four days was all he’d wanted; four days of uncomplicated and mindless work, comfortable chatter, and perhaps a chance to figure out what exactly he wanted from his friends… and what to actually do about it.
Having feelings for one of your best friends was already hard enough, but Tom Paris never did anything by half. When an opportune mission devolves into a near-fatal crash, he, Harry, and B'Elanna have to stay alive until Voyager can return to find them.
They might just work some things out along the way.

Oh my goddddd this is so well written - everyone is perfectly in character always, and the references??? Transparent aluminum in the shuttle, B'Elanna having two stomachs, Harry cracking wise about his heart skipping past impulse and going straight to warp?????? The skill and knowledge dropped so casually throughout this entire story is incredible.

Summary
Tucking Naomi in was a soothing experience. The giggle she made when his whiskers tickled her cheek as he kissed her goodnight was a balm on his soul, and he thought he could listen to her snore for ages. He could almost forget what had happened earlier. Almost.
He exited the bedroom, and Samantha followed him to the door. Before he could leave, she stopped him in the hallway.
“Neelix,” She asked seriously. “What… what were you doing in the transporter room?”
Neelix mulled over his answer for a few moments. He considered lying, but Samantha was too smart for that. He sighed. “I think you know what I was doing.”

Summary
Just a revisitation of Thirty Days if Janeway had been more understanding and also if Tom Paris had severe food allergies. Also actual crew animosity towards Tom since the show ignores that particular plot point a lot.

Summary
In 1955, Doctor Kathryn Janeway runs the all-female computing department at the Rocket Technology Laboratory in Los Angeles, California. RTL develops everything from new jet technology to experimental atomic energy and all of these projects rely on brilliant women to run endless intricate calculations for the (all-male) engineering staff. Janeway, an innovative physicist in her own right, is relegated to simple calculations while her fiancé Mark Johnson reaps the glory from her hard work as the head of RTL.
When the machine shop manager, Chakotay Red Feather, brings Dr. Janeway evidence of unsafe practices, the barriers between the departments begin to break down leading to greater innovation and solidarity amongst the workers—much to the chagrin of management! Together, Chakotay and Janeway struggle against the attitudes of their society while attempting to expose industrial negligence that puts the entire Los Angeles metro area at risk—and grow closer in the process.
CW: period typical bigotry of all kinds (see tags)
Note on ship tags: they are all in here, but this is a Chakotay/Janeway fic because that's what I do. Everything else is collateral damage to the story's circumstances.
