After humans are finally added to the Galactic Federation, so many more things are open to them in space. Including being able to send their children to one of the most famous multi-species schools, located on one of the wealthiest planets. Overworld.
They chose, somewhat at random, one child to send to this school.
That "child" happened to be 16-year-old Tommy Innes.
Maybe it wasn't the best idea to leave him without supervision

Tommy Innes had always wanted to be an astronaut, to see space. He would tell anyone who would listen that he was going to be the first to discover aliens.
You can imagine his disappointment when the news came out that aliens had found them first.
And you can imagine his surprise when the government swoops him up and he's told that he's going to be a part of the first wave of children sent out into space to get schooling around the universe.
He doesn't know what to think, but it's not like it can go much worse than his life on Earth, right?

The one thing they never tell you about space travel is how boring it is.
Tommy doesn't think he's ever been forced to sit still for this long, not at school. Not even the car rides between houses felt as long as this.
Being strapped down to the small, uncomfortable metal chair in the transportation pod was going to be in his nightmares, he was sure of it. It was also far too cold, did they not have heaters in these damn things?

At midday, the sun reached its peak over the Las Nevadas’ desert, lighting the sparkling artificial sand underneath it ablaze. Shadows were reduced to nothing, and, outside of the glittering city and all of its shady alleyways, there were few to no places to hide. Every crevice, pit, and natural cavern that had once existed there had either been leveled or filled in to ensure the safety of the poor gambling addicts that routinely made their way there. There wasn’t a tree, bush, or large rock left to disrupt the scenery of those golden waves. Everything was flat, every grain of sand had been combed through to ensure evenness, and all complied with Quackity’s absurdly high standards.
And yet, Ranboo and Wilbur had been looking for Tommy for three days nonstop, and they hadn’t found a single trace of him. The blond had vanished into thin air, leaving a couple of burger patties and some buns toasting on the small grill they’d managed to secure for the Wilburger Ranvan and nothing else.

He was heavily breathing and fumbling with his com.
"Hello GenLoss? this is Endwalker," Ranboo said into his comm, you never know, the zombie apocalypse was impossible but here we are. This calmed his nerves just a little because it's like he's talking to his friends and not in immediate danger, which he was.
"i'm at-" Ranboo looked around for a street sign,
"Bsoisos Street, in district Snowchester I need back up on the supply run." Ranboo takes a look at the hoard while he waits for feedback, the zombies are coming closer to him, the feedback doesn't arrive so he tries talking into the com to at least to calm his nerves.
"Hello?" Ranboo tries again and the only sound that is heard is the growling sounds of decaying, or broken vocal cords making the notice of the zombies impossible to ignore and the increasing fear come back tenfold.
"Hallo." a British voice calls out its sounds shaky and unused, and it feels unreal, it sounded young, like him, maybe there was a chance that there were other survivors that are the same age as him, and a growl of the undead reminds him that he is still in danger's grasp.Or, a Beeduo centric Zombie apocalypse au!!!

It would not have been incorrect to say that one of the reasons why Techno had suddenly decided to organize a family dinner for the first time in his life was because, during his latest visit to Snowchester, he’d found out that Ranboo, his protege, was married to Mr. President and the Traitor. Not only that, but, as it turned out, those three had a kid together, a small zombie piglin, and that sure did make him feel some kind of way.
It hurt to know that Ranboo didn’t trust him enough to tell him about his family. He hated being in the dark. It made it harder to know who he could truly count on.
But it would have been a lie to say that this breach of trust alone was the reason for his newly-found desire for some social interactions. Technoblade was not such a weak man.
No, there was something that he disliked even more than being lied to by his loved ones, and that was people doing things wrong. And one look at his little brother’s too-thin frame, his pale skin, his graying hair, and the dark circles under his eyes had been enough for him to decide that his partners were clearly not caring for him properly.
