Summary
Carl isn’t thrilled when Daryl and Michonne bring home a strange boy they’d found alone in a candy store, but then again, he’s not sure he remembers what happiness even feels like anymore. Not while his dad keeps trying to shape him into someone he’s not.
Is it even possible to be two things at once? A farmer and a survivor? A boy who kills other boys, and kisses them? He doesn’t know. He’s not even sure he wants to find out.
Turns out, the stray kid is as antisocial as Carl, with a sweet tooth to match, and after being taken care of by kind people in an unkind world, they’ll fall in love with each other and then, eventually, their mutual best friend, too.
Predominantly based on the TV series, with select elements from the comics. Later arcs include Dead City & The Ones Who Live (second to last chapter), with lore from the Daryl Dixon spinoff, Fear, Tales, and World Beyond where relevant.

Summary

Shane went with the others to Atlanta. He is the one to cuff Merle to the roof. Rick arrives in Atlanta just a little later, and comes across the trapped Dixon. An unlikely friendship forms over the lengths of far too many road trips in order to catch up to their respective families, who they keep missing due to circumstances and poor timing. While two different groups of survivors form, and friendships and families are built, two people fall in love with each other, without even having met. - Rodney Atkins, If You're Going Through HellThe first two stories are a pair of companion stories that are set to run alongside each other, initially focusing on Sophia being missing. While originally intended to merge into a third story, plans changed. Development in each story will continue between the paired couple and their relationships with Sophia, the other children, and the other residents.
A third story is officially planned with Merle, with possible future stories to cover these pairings (and respective POVs): Beth/Tara, Lori/Denise, Rick/Amanda, Jesus/Aaron.
Since I don't intended to explore the Virginia seasons, characters from those seasons will turn up in the Georgia stories.

Summary
400 years after the apocalypse, humanity has suffered in numbers. As women struggled to bear children and died in the effort, the human race was nearly wiped out. But nature always finds a way to survive and like fish evolving to walk on the earth, man has evolved so that the human race can attempt to recreate.
Rumors had grown rampant that childbirth had become viable in some of the male population. Most men, the betas, were simply trying to survive. Some men had evolved so that their instinct to procreate was near animalistic. Those are the Alphas. The rest, the fewest in numbers, are the Omegas. They were just as Instinctually driven to mate as the Alpha’s, but they were the ones who were almost evolved enough to bear seed and bring a new generation forth into the world.
The trick, however, was that it required a perfect mate.
