Summary
Richie's standing in front of Eddie before he can really think it through, gripping the overhead rail for lack of a nearby seat. Eddie doesn’t look up, too consumed by something on his BlackBerry to notice the gangly buffoon swaying towards him with an open mouth.
Richie doesn’t know what he’s going to say until he’s saying it, words tripping out of his mouth like, “Eddie Kaspbrak, right?"
Eddie squints up at him, mouth pinched, before he says, “Edward. Only my friends call me Eddie. Do I know you?”
“Yeah, uh,” Richie clears his throat. Fuck. “Well, sort of? We went to school together.”
“I think I would remember that.”
Or, Richie's thirty-four when he's dragged back to Derry to visit his shitty grandmother, returns to New York, and starts making mistakes.
Or, Richie's on SNL, Eddie's on the subway, and Eddie isn't someone Richie wants to forget.

Summary
Richie Tozier was no stranger to jokes. He cracked them frequently, even at very inappropriate times -like killer clown trying to murder us inappropriate times-.
Richie had times where he didn't feel like joking though, he just wanted to stop his brain from firing off every second, but he felt like it never stopped. Even if he could get it to stop, who would he be without his corny, borderline offensive jokes? Nobody. Ben was caring, Bev was cool, Bill was brave, Stan was responsible, Mike was kind, Eddie was protective. Richie though... Richie only had his jokes, otherwise he wasn't anything valuable.
He also tried to like girls, he really did... instead Richie's more-than-friends feelings drifted towards more forbidden territory. Territory he would hope to never face... even if it killed him.

Very few students raised their hands, but Richie was mildly startled to see Eddie, Ben, Stan and Bill raise their hands. It almost made him raise his own just to fit in with the group, but he was so surprised that he felt frozen.
Eddie was giving him a look, as if silently asking if he was trying to be funny, which just made Richie feel even more lost.
OR: Richie realizes guys can be assaulted by girls, and remembers something terrible that happened to him a year prior. Thankfully, he has friends to help him through it (especially a certain redhead who has no problem punching said-girl in the nose)

He’s been called names before, horrible ones, spat into his face or kicked into his shin. He never thought much of it. Everyone knows that a man is impervious to insult until he believes it, too. But now there was ample reason to believe that those boys were right, in some twisted sense of the word. What frightened Richie most was not necessarily the idea that they were correct, but the idea that the first good thing he had ever felt was wrong.

The shit thrown at the Loser's Club was getting worse day by day, until they finally snapped. The Derry Police didn't care to solve a case even when the culprit was right in front of them, so why not use it to their advantage? Only to the people that deserved it, but in a place like Derry, almost everyone deserved it. IT had been right, they were the monsters inside.
*a main theme in this story is Beverly's past sexual abuse at the hands of her father, but I am not going to write any actual r!pe scenes because that's triggering for me*For a group serial killer story, this fic is going to be surprisingly mostly fluff and only about 10% murder.

Part of him wished that maybe, maybe, one day, they’ll wake up and pepper him with hugs and kisses like Bill’s parents did once Georgie’s body was found. Maybe apologize and shower him in love like Bev’s aunt did, or maybe even try, just try to at least have a better relationship like Eddie’s mom did, but no.
