Summary
Under the ocean's surface, merfolk exist peacefully due to humans forgetting memories of them after sun falls. Hakuryuu, living as a political hostage under the watch of King Sinbad after his mother had once rebelled against him, dreams of escaping the ocean to reunite with Morgiana, the human woman he’s loved from afar. His obsession draws the attention of Judar, a rogue siren who toys with him relentlessly—flirting, provoking, and dragging Hakuryuu into reckless encounters that blur the line between hatred and desire. When Hakuryuu finally bargains with dark magic to gain legs and walk on land, Judar—bound by his own contract with sea witch Gyokuen—is forced to follow him ashore to fulfill his condition to stay human within two weeks. Soon Hakuryuu begins to question whether the love he’s chasing is the one he truly wants.

He was born into this world a miracle. He was not a saviour from another world— he was a saviour from this one. His father an outcast, his mother ill and he, an orphan. He had dragged himself through dirt and mud, limb by limb, to rise above and bring the world with him. He had purpose and a dream, and to the lost girl who knew of nothing, not even herself, he was life itself. And so, her destiny became him.

Judar extended his hand with a cocky, magnetic grin. “Be my king candidate,” he said, as if the offer itself were a divine gift.
Kenda blinked once. Then twice. And without a second’s hesitation, she replied,“No thanks. I have no intention to rule.”
The Magi’s smile didn’t falter, it shattered. His arm slowly lowered, and for the first time in a long while, he looked… speechless. Like he’d just been slapped by the wind itself.
Kouha leaned toward his older brother and whispered in awe, “Oh no… She broke our Judar.”
Kouen, unsurprisingly, looked far too entertained.
(Kenda dreamed of adventure like Sinbad. What she finds instead is the cost of stories: buried pain, rigged empires, broken families, enslaved bloodlines, and the knowledge that she can’t just run in and swing a sword anymore. She has to choose: who she will be in history.)

Summary
Judar leaves the Kou empire the second news of King Sinbad's return arrives. Hakuryuu follows, unable to stop being jealous over Judar´s constant pull towards Sinbad and their shared history together. Feeling Judar only took his side as a compromise because Judar had been rejected by Sinbad in the past, Hakuryuu gets bitter and angry - mostly because he had failed to tell Judar about his own feelings when it could be too late now.
