Chuuya growled softly for the umpteenth time, and Dazai sighed for a matching number.
“No, pup,” he said absently, eyes not straying from his laptop screen. He was settled on the couch, a blanket around his shoulders and a still steaming mug on the end table next to him, the perfect picture of coziness on the stormy winter evening around them.
Chuuya, by contrast, was sitting back on his heels in a dog bed, his hands barely touching the soft, fuzzy fabric between his knees, a silicone bone next to him. His ears sat proudly on his head and a collar was the only other stitch of something vaguely resembling clothing he was wearing, a lead clipped to it.
