Summary
After Merlin saves Arthur at Camlann, Arthur searches for ways to reward Merlin for his actions. Repealing the ban on magic doesn't feel like one, it's just the right thing to do. Merlin refuses any position Arthur offers him. So, he has to get creative.

Uther has been dead for a few weeks, and things have been going a little too well in his absence. When he comes back as a spirit hellbent on returning Camelot to the way it was during HIS reign, Arthur (understandably) has a few problems with that. To make matters worse, the only other person who can see Uther is Merlin, a telltale sign of his magic. As always, it's a patrol gone wrong when it happens, and Arthur's in the thick of things, much to Merlin's chagrin, as he's the one who has to drag his Royal Prattishness out of harm's way.
All in all, though, a completely run-of-the-mill situation.
