This was grim but very enthralling. The fenris/ lav romance was visceral and not perfect and full of miscommunications just like a realistic romance is. It was an interesting read and the plot was well laid out but the end (I only read up to 98, I couldn’t stomach the bad ending or reading where she ended up back with her abuser) left me wishing there had been a sense of sweetness to end things with. It felt bleak right up until the end

Why "Volutions"? Among other things, a volution is an anatomical spiral, a nod to the story that started all this writing, Nautilus. From there, e-volution, con-volution, de-volution, and re-volution in no particular order.
Nautilus: any cephalopod of the genus Nautilus, having a spiral, chambered shell with pearly septa.
Grotesquerie: 1. grotesque character. 2. something grotesque. 3. grotesque ornamental work.
Gargalesis*: heavy tickling often leading to laughter.
Haspenald: a teenage boy who is tall, or who has suddenly grown
Anaxiphilia*: love for or attraction to unsuitable mates.
Alexithymia: the inability to express feelings with words
Basorexia*: an overwhelming desire to neck or kiss
