So he makes time to fufill Futabas request and in doing so discovers that his Fate was not interally his own.
Can both Futaba and Akechi escape the Prison of Regression they are traped in and gain some allies along the way? If the battle continued in this direction, Akira could accidentally get hurt. Goro needed to steer the fight away. But it was too late. King Yaldabaoth followed Goro’s line of sight and started charging towards Akira. Akira was open. Akira was vulnerable.
“No!” Goro choked. In his mind, he had a vivid vision of a fatal blow striking Akira, then Akira bursting into blue and white flames, surrendering his body to the stars. It made him realise that proving his worth no longer meant anything to him. Not if it put his soulmate’s life in danger. Not if it meant that he might be able to spend even one millisecond less with Akira.
Also: a fae AU in which Akira and Goro are soulmates but they are high princes from opposing kingdoms.

just reread this and it's just as fun and interesting as i remembered! there were certain things i'd forgotten (for some reason i thought they'd been on more games during the prologue? like, ridiculously more. then i saw "game 5" and was like. oh. yeah i probably confused the amount bc i was reading a lot of time travel/loop/ng+ fics around the time i first found it.), but some had been stuck on my mind for quite some time (the prologue, it just captivates your attention sooo well; the fusion dances, bc i'd just started playing p2is when i first read and was very interested, even w the spoilers; and the way they chose to use the evokers!!)
it's been a while since the last update, but i still await the next one eagerly, whenever it comes! i don't tend to lose hope even with long waits, especially with a fic this interesting hehe
i'll tag this in case i don't remember the name again, so i won't need to go searching around the akeshu time loop tag lol i forgot i'd bookmarked it already, but now there's my opinion on it, so! yeah. whatever, i love this fic, it keeps coming back to my mind
