“It doesn’t matter!” she scoffed, “It’s still a security risk that he can narrow our location down at all! Also,” she jutted her arms out towards the bed a second time, “May I remind you? ONE. BED. ONE!”

After years of fighting in a war, all Lance wants to do is kick back and actually enjoy his twenties, a goal made easier when he inherits a house of his own soon after returning to Earth. The problem now is that he's realizing how empty it is with only one person living in such a large space, and what better way to solve that than by inviting the only other ex-paladin living on his own to move into the spare bedroom? It's a win-win; Lance gets the company he's been sorely missing and Keith saves a small fortune on rent.

As a child, storms had always frightened Keith. Logically, he knew that there was nothing to be afraid of, especially when they were safe inside their home, warm and dry. His mom would always remind him that there was only a slim, one in a million chance that he'd ever get struck by lightning.
Really, who knows? Maybe, after a while, he would have overcome that fear like he did with the dark, shots and the dentist. But after his parents died, the clouds in the sky always looked a little darker than they actually were.

“Look I doubt he’d do that Keith, and let say he did all you’d need to do is like, fake faint and he’d stop pretty much instantly,”
“…what?” he asks, confusion clear in his voice.
“Yup. Walk in there and give it your best swoon, proper ham it up like in the movies.” Keith’s mind is briefly bombarded with images of fainting women in corsets and for some reason Lance riding bareback on a horse. “Lance won’t be able to resist running to your aid like some valiant knight and for fuck sake Keith do you seriously think he will just ignore you?”
The sudden change in tone made Keith's head spin.
