This is my collection of stories that are explicitly Darius/the PGG, and the backstory I made up for them. Why do I like this ship? I guess for me, it's because living and working in the castle must have been a tense experience, and we all-but-know that Belos was abusive to all his Golden Guards, and the Coven Heads aren't doing that great either. Yet, in all that stress and turmoil, these two carved out a space where they could be loved and happy. Yes, they can't "officially" be together and yes, one of them dies, but despite that his life still made an impact, made ripples long after he was gone. What they had still meant something, regardless. It meant—it means—everything.

Nick rested his forehead against Charlie’s, gently bumping their noses together. Charlie moved his hand between their chests and quickly snapped his fingers, his face appearing out of the darkness, cast in a flickering, golden glow. Nick glanced down in surprise to see a tiny flame dancing around in Charlie’s palm.
“Besides Tori, you’re the only other person in this world that I trust with my life. I trust that when we’re together, that you’ll keep me safe. So far, you’ve done nothing to prove me wrong. I wanted to tell you about this, I didn’t because… the last person that found out I had magic… it didn’t end well.”
“Your parents.” He said quietly, watching as the flame wove its way through Charlie’s fingers as they flexed. “They found out about your magic, didn’t they?”
“Sort of,” Charlie admitted, “Mum found out that Tori had magic, and you kind of know what happened after that. But, I remember just being so upset, and everything was coming to a head, so I made her rosary explode. And then we were running.”
