Summary
Sofia, now fully restored as the Protector of the Ever Realm, is called upon for her first official mission in years. The once-vibrant land of Merakana has fallen into an unnatural darkness, where famine ravages the population. With Merakana’s emperor barely clinging to life and his daughter missing for weeks, Sofia must not only solve the case of the missing princess, but she must also discover who is responsible for the crumbling kingdom as well as reunite fractured pieces of the emperor’s spear, which has the power to heal or destroy–depending whose hands it falls into.

The stakes are even higher when the group realizes that Isolde, former Conjuror’s Board sentry and currently the king’s private magister regent, has also been captured and is trapped with the king. It’s a race against the clock as the worst storm in history is set to obliterate Darktide Isle, and the true evil source in Venburg slowly begins to emerge.
