Summary
Regulus Black knew that, eventually, he would fail his parents. He wouldn't be able to do what they asked, but he hadn't imagined that it would be the same thing that got his brother disowned - the refusal to get engaged. The only way to stop it is to take permanent measures with someone else.
James Potter happens to be the only one willing, and he wonders how it ever got to this point.
James likes Regulus, and he's willing to do what needs to be done to protect him, including getting permanently engaged. He just didn't think he would actually fall in love with him.
(They both knew it was inevitable.)

It’s been 2 days, and she’s the first person to come by, because everyone else is dead.
Mary Macdonald was in love, once. She was in love with magic. She was in love with red hair and green eyes. She knows better than anyone, now, that love can't solve anything, because she isn't in love with magic anymore, because magic took red and green away from her, and all she can think about is the empty shell of a man in the room beside her and the little boy who's mother would be so disappointed if she left.
In short, Mary and Remus raise Harry instead!! And lots of grieving.

“Maybe you could teach me?” Normal asks hopefully, leaning in closer. It’s killing three birds with one stone. He gets to spend time with his date, learn how to do eyeliner, and it’s a welcome distraction from thinking about his dad.
Hermie snorts. “The art of makeup is something people are born with. It cannot be learned.”

“You know, the garden and the house. Super fancy.” He grins cheekily, and Regulus frowns at him for a long moment.
“Right.” Regulus sighs. It's going to be a long summer.

It isn’t cute. It isn’t sweet. She doesn’t make friends, she can’t speak when she’s called on in class, and she cries when she has to ask for help at the grocery store. She can’t get a job, can’t join school events, all because she can’t force the words to crawl up her throat and escape her mouth. When it does, she imagines she’s throwing up sandpaper.
(Lily Evans is not, and she makes Pandora feel brave.)

“Where are you going?” The woman asks her the second she turns around and starts walking away.
Narcissa stops, looking over her shoulder and raising both of her eyebrows. She should feel lucky that she escaped getting bitten, and she should let the vampire that was going to kill her go away because better someone, anyone else, than her. In society, a vampire always means nothing good. There are hunters for people like Narcissa.
“You…” The woman pauses. “You need blood, right?”
Narcissa blinks again. She doesn’t remember ever being this speechless around anyone before, and she keeps surprising her. “Yes,” She states, and gets ready to leave again. "I'm going to get it from someone else."
“You can take some of mine.” The woman offers, as if it’s a normal thing to say. As if she’s offering to help an old woman across the street, or a mother with her groceries.
“Why?” Narcissa asks, eyeing her warily.
“You need it.” She says simply.

Narcissa has lived a very long, very content life, one that has remained the same all these years with her family by her side - until she meets a human by the name of Alice whom leaves her speechless in the best way possible.

Onyankopon stops and stares at him, but Levi holds his hand out expectantly for the next dish to dry.
"What?" Levi asks flatly after some time of silence.
"You've never done that before." Onyankopon says simply, handing over a plate.
"Done what before?"
"Invited me to stay." He says, turning off the tap. "Usually you want me out of your hair as soon as possible."
Levi hums and hands him the now dry plate so he can put it up, but he says no more.

"Fuck you," And then Dazai's lips are traveling along his jaw and his hat is falling to the floor and he loses his thought process.
He's pressed up agains the wall, and then Dazai is pressed against the wall and Dazai's lips are still trailing over his face while Chuuya's hands are somewhere in the middle of them, and they both lose a piece of clothing or two before Dazai is pushing forward again, pushing, pushing, pushing. Chuuya is pressed against another wall, he doesn't know which one in the room anyway, are they still in the kitchen? And wow, Dazai is traveling forward, and Chuuya has the brief thought to question how much practice he's had at this and then Dazai hits a spot Chuuya doesn't even know existed and he makes a truly embarrassing noise, leaning forward to rest his head on Dazai's shoulders, fingers pulling at his hair slightly.
