Dick was conscious enough to understand the things he was feeling weren’t the type of things people around him wanted to hear. When they said they were there for him, they meant they were there for him to be angry, there for him to talk about the relief of Slade being gone. They said whatever you need and they imagined tears, and maybe talking about what Slade did to him. They expected to validate that it was okay to be happy.
None of it was how Dick really felt, during the worst of it. During the worst of it, Dick mostly wanted to snap Jason’s neck.

He lingers in the doorway for a moment before locking it up behind him. Breathe, Jason. Hand on your weapon. He makes his way through the dimly lit (but lit) apartment silently, creeping towards the light source; the only bedroom.
The door is cracked open ever so slightly, leaking warm light into the living room. And just as Jason creeps around the corner and shoves the door open with his foot, gripping his weapon-
And it's just... Dick.

The kid spoke into her shirt, breaking her out of her own head and keeping her from figuring out what in the world could be wrong.
Pulling him away softly (not too far, she’s not trying to convince him she didn’t want the hug. Titan she would never tell the kid he couldn’t get a hug with how hard it was for him to ask), she very gently lifted his head. “What was that kiddo-? Something wrong?”
It didn’t look like it. The kid was still grinning. And the usual hesitance behind his eyes was gone, he even pushed himself back into Eda’s arms before shaking his head against her. The boy was giggling into her shirt like a little kid and Eda was starting to believe someone had actually cursed this child.
“Mm-mm! Jus-” He stumbled over his tongue for a second, clearly struggling to find the words he wanted. “Jus- Wan’ed mama.”
Welp. Does it really matter what's going on when her kid is that damn cute-?
TLDR - Hunter is small and decides he wants his mama. Pancakes and love ensue.

Three of Rocky’s claws raise and they open and close as they sway this way and that, all pointed at Grace. The only thing keeping them apart is a thin layer of xenonite and the incompatible atmospheres. Air and a few atoms. Somehow, the idea that Rocky might have just shoved Grace over and started touching him because he wanted to had him embarrassingly hard. He would be strong enough to. Grace wouldn’t even be able to fight him off…
“Grace thinking about something exciting. Statement. Share.”
Taptaptap, a claw on the glass. Excited.
“Body is changing. Erection. Observation.”
“Okay, you looking through my clothes is cheating,” Grace wheezes.

“No, no.” Rocky gestures to what he gave Grace. “Is courtship. Trust.”
“I don’t know what this is, but it’s not courtship!” Grace holds up the honest-to-God padded handcuffs Rocky made for him. They jingle a little. “Explain how this is old-fashioned to you. Quickly.”
