Summary
His sword lowered first, then his knee eased off Wemmbu’s chest, though he didn’t fully let him go. The space between them was still too close, breaths mingling in the cold air.
“Look at me,” Flame said quietly.
Wemmbu hesitated.
Slowly, Flame reached up—not with the roughness of anger, but with something careful, almost reverent. Two fingers caught the edge of the lavender veil.
Wemmbu’s breath hitched. “Flame—”
“Don’t.” His voice softened. “Let me see you.”
Flame lifted the veil the way a groom would lift a bride’s—gentle, deliberate, intimate. The fabric slipped upward, revealing familiar features beneath.
Time seemed to stop.
Flame’s eyes widened, his hand freezing mid-air as recognition crashed over him. His breath stuttered.
“…You.”
Wemmbu swallowed. “Hi.”

Egg has been taken away from Wemmbu, he’s been constantly being used as a weapon not only by Arachnid but also Cindercrest. He’s pushed between conflict after conflict, battle after battle, until the line between human and a weapon begins to blur. He begins to question who he even is or if he's just merely a weapon, a tool used at one’s disposal. He begins to struggle beneath the weight of everything, questioning whether he even wants to live or not. Only two people notice: the one closest to him—his best friend, and the one furthest from him—his rival.

His head swam with the thought of another sky, another crowd of people looking up at him with terror.
Somewhere far away, Egg was still alive. That was the chain around his throat.
And everyone in the room knew it.

So the two rivals team up, Flame unknowingly shaking the hand of his rival, Wemmbu unsure of why they're even trying to get close to him in the first place.
These two wet sock pathetic gay idiots face the challenges of battle, annoying players, deep rooted issues, borderline obsession, fucked up missing persons case and many, many more inconveniences !! Yay !!!
tl;dr - Boosfer runs away, Wemmbu and Flame team up to kill him. Things go horribly wrong and then apparently get better?

This worries Egg, and Jaden can see the demon’s exhaustion, so they decide to call in king Parrot, hoping to calm the once seemingly small, now destructive issue within Wemmbu.
