Summary
The Cicatrix Maledictum did not simply tear the Imperium in half - it cracked the once-inviolable bastion of the Galactic Core, exposing the Leagues of Votann to the galaxy at large. With danger comes new opportunities, however. The Hesperian League, as eager for trade and plunder as any, has brokered the kind of deal that would see their contemporaries twist in a jealous agony. Finding the backwater system of Prestor under observation by a single Mechanicus outpost, the League have moved in on what their survey fleets say is a wealth of precious minerals, sure to elevate the League's standing and allow it to stave off the hostile overtures of the Kronus Hegemony.
But with great reward comes unknown risk. Why did the Imperium leave only a single monitoring station in a system so rich in resources, containing a human colony only now developing into early spaceflight of their own? What secrets do the shattered outer planets of Prestor hold? And, what will the arrival of the disgraced Commander Ono Otami, aboard a maligned vanity project of a light carrier, mean for the ever-escalating tensions between the Imperium of Man and the Leagues of Votann?

“I know,” Loid’s hand moves to switch to the other breast, his head growing just a little hazy with the way Yor is subtly moving her hips against him, not too sure if she’s doing that on purpose or not. “But maybe I just like talking to my wife.”
Not fair.
An exasperated breath leaves her mouth, and she rolls her eyes (and if that has Yor’s heart fluttering like she’s some high school girl whose crush is confessing to her—she tries not to let it show despite her cheeks flushing and her chest blooming with warmth). “And what would you like to talk about then?”
Loid idly shrugs as his thumb moves to swipe over Yor’s nipple that’s already hard, and it has Yor’s entire body stiffening and her skin sparking with heat. “Talk to me about work.”
Or: Loid and Yor have a few hours to themselves in the morning, and fucking seems to be the best way to spend it

“I—“ Yor pauses with a gasp, feeling a little breathless as she tries to pull back, her hands coming to rest on Loid’s chest, “I should be going soon.”
She’s been saying that for the past while, now.
And every time she does—
Loid makes this small, wanting sound at the back of his throat, and he shakes his head—mumbling something that Yor doesn’t quite catch—and pulls her back in for another kiss.
A kiss that was supposed to be a goodbye kiss before she would leave to go to Camilla’s house party.
But—
One farewell kiss turned into Loid saying, “Just one more,” again and again and again—until it kinda turned into a small make-out session by the front door of their house.

Summary
Loid tips his chin up as he cocks his head faintly to the side, and then his tongue darts out to wet his lower lip, leaving it a little shiny. “You have me where you want me to be,” then the corner of his mouth kicks up in a smirk, causing a dimple to form on his right cheek. “Now what?”
The candle that they have burning on their bedside table in the dimly lit room casts this shadow on Loid’s figure—doing certain things to Yor made all the worse by the way he’s smiling up at her.
It’s not fair how his eyes aren’t even showing and she still gets flustered by him.
Or: Loid is blindfolded and gets his dick sucked by his wife

And when he speaks next, his voice comes out low, making Yor feel warm all over. “I never got your name.”
Her eyes light up, her breath hitching in her chest—

“…It’s Yor.”
The smile on his face grows, idly but courteous, as if he just discovered some treasure, causing his dimple to grow more prominent. “Yor.”
He repeats it, saying her name, rolling it on his tongue, and tasting it, making it sound like chocolate velvet silk. It has Yor feeling just a bit flushed in the face.

In sharing this particular fragment of the Cain Archive, it is my wish to shed light on a less explored period of Ciaphas Cain's life: that is, when the Commissariat sent him to liaise with Lord General Zyvan and his staff on Coronus. By then, Cain's career and status as Hero of the Imperium (despite his private protestations about the title) were well established and he found himself quite taken with a life that, for being more stable and comfortable than what he had known before, still put his particular skills to good use. The events described in this fragment illustrate well, I believe, the outrageous aptitude he had for always finding himself in the thick of things (albeit reluctantly) — a talent that made him a most valuable asset to the Inquisition.

“Good,” He might be pulling out some new moves that are known to provoke a more sensual feeling for his clients as he works his fingers into her lower back, a spot he knows to be sensitive to most humans but—he doesn’t need her to know. “Then just relax for me, okay?”
That alone manages to have her let out another moan, this time muffled, as he works her up even more.
Or: a fic where Loid notices that Yor is a little stressed lately, so he proposes a harmless solution by giving her a back massage. However, that eventually leads to something a little more than what they both envisioned for tonight.
