People often took Occam’s Razor and swung it like a club, inevitably ending up on the wrong side. It’s what the public had done with the blood running in streams every morning, and what kept Vale in some semblance of peace as more and more people vanished in the night. People assumed gangs, or murderers, or, as was increasingly the case, Faunus.
…Jaune only wished it were that simple.
Instead, here he was, digging himself miles deep into an unforgiving grave. Hoping against hope that, if life was as much a game as it seemed, that this one had a happy ending.
