Ehehehe, excellent Prowl characterization and view of his thinking already. I’m enjoying the world building and details around how hacking and an interrogation might go in the beginning. I like the tribute to real hacking, what with the mention of admin permissions and such.I like the idea of mechs geared more towards thinking/analysis having sliiiightly less physical prowess than those engineered for combat. - And that when being hacked/mentally used, abrupt (or general) disconnects leave them disoriented and unable to move properly.
Ooh, the stasis cuffs concept is cool - they not only hold the hands, but restrict/sap overall strength/motion.
Interesting Prowl characterization: him taking promises very seriously.
I love the concept of Jazz using internal music to time escape sequences (or combat).Ch. 4 is hilarious. Most times when someone is being unexpectedly helped by the enemy in a do or die situation, they go with it because there are no better alternatives and it’s go-time. But Prowl? No he wants answers for why, and he’s not backing off until he gets them.

Prowl knew they were different, but he simply couldn’t remember why they were different. If he could find a way to unlock the memories hidden deep within his processor, he might finally know who he was and why he was as he was.
Having escaped the Institution with another youngling in tow, Red Alert could only hope they make it to the northern border in one piece. Ever wary of mechs, Red Alert is torn between believing that the strange, young Praxian indeed had no memory of who or what he was or that the mech would turn on him and kill him in his recharge.
With the war a few vorns in and with no end in sight, the two start their journey to the border in hopes of freedom...that is if they survive.

Mirage and Prowl interaction! I love them. And the showcase of Mirage’s skills!
I like that Prowl has faults around people, struggles around social scenarios, and admits them while he’s still incredibly intelligent and incredibly dangerous. His talents are simply more around tactics and logic. (And that logic includes seeing his faults, and finding skilled teammates to account for them).Ehehe, what a clever plan. I love getting to see Prowl play the long game.
All in all, very lovely story with very lovely characterization.New favorite version of Prowl confirmed? 👀

Contains my absolute favorite characterization of Prowl✨Very interesting concept around a mech in a human’s body! There’s much potential here! Frustration over being useless and tiny and weak. Fear over being so vulnerable, such that creatures previously thought to be tiny and weak could cause hurt with ease. He’s so easy to be hurt now, and he can’t even speak his home language!
And I appreciate how the pov human’s pain is real, I can see why she is the way she is.
Oooh, I reaaaally like the Prowl conversation in Ch. 9.

Ohhhhhh how I love this story. Soundwave is such a stinker and gremlin, I love him.The characterization and growth as a whole is incredible!!
And! I like the general idea of the Lost Light going on cross dimensional adventures, potentially picking people up along the way. Especially since these alternate dimensions can be other fandoms / TF things.
The concept of biolights flashing/changing to indicate mood/emotions/nonverbal signals is neat :)
Ohhh the events and emotions of ch. 10 are amazing!!
Amazing Soundwave headcanons! I love the idea Laserbeak used to literally be part of him.
