“What’s the damage, doctor?” Megatron inquired upon noticing Knockout’s abrupt stop in speaking.
“Ummm..” The medic paused, nervously chuckled, and turned to his leader. “Good news, your fuel tanks are working perfectly.” He chuckled again, “Bad news.” He turned to face Megatron.
Megatron looked up at his scan, seeing why the medic paused so suddenly. “Is that?” His voice was filled with a mix of shock and confusion.
“Yes, it appears you’ve been uh.. Sparked”

Summary
Optimus Prime, was having a bad day. Actually, to call it a bad day might just be an understatement. But it hadn't started well and had only gotten worse.
After lashing out at Sentinel and fleeing custody, Optimus finds himself in the only place that could be worse for him, the hands of the Decepticons.
Megatron sees a golden opportunity to get something valuable on his side, to drag the oh no noble and selfless Optimus Prime down to his side. And he's not going to let this opportunity slip away.

I saw this animatic and I really, really wanted to read a fic about TFA Optimus being swayed to the Decepticon side. The very particular story I wanted didn't exist so I wrote it myself.

Six hundred stellar cycles ago, as the sun rose on the new Autobot empire following the end of the Decepticon war, the Well of Allsparks still ran cold. The planet was soon in a crisis, as new workers could no longer be forged. Scientists searched desperately for a solution, a way to reactivate the Well, but it remained still.
Four hundred stellar cycles ago, it was discovered that certain mechs still held onto vestigial codes that allowed them to carry protoforms inside their own internal forges. A slow way to reproduce, yes, but an effective one. Mechs identified as possessing this coding were quickly noted, and soon the council had fashioned a set of laws to ensure the survival of the Autobot race.
Optimus is one of those carriers, obligated by law and duty to wed the sire of the council's choosing.

Optimus wanted to die.
That was how he felt about his new life, why wouldn't he though? He had nothing, he had lost everything, he had no one to care about, not anymore at least. When he had been forced to step out of the academy, leading his team had been all his life, not that he minded, they had wiggled a way into his spark, made permanent mark there like Elita and even Sentinel before their fallout. And yet now, he was all alone, all alone with -him-.
Megatron. The Terror of Cybertron, The Scourge of Kaon, Ruthless Warlord and Leader of the Decepticons.
He had hoped to be killed at the very least, he had been ready to give his all, frame and spark, as long as the warlord left his team alive, he had even said such to him, the last wish of a soon to be dead mech.
He should have chosen his words more carefully.

Oh no! Somebot leaked to the Cybertron public that the Decepticons are uprising, Megatron may have returned, and worst of all: the Allspark has been shattered on some backwater organic planet. The citizens of Cybertron are rioting, public approval is in the pits; and in dire need to calm the masses, the Autobot council is searching for the perfect scapegoat. According to the Autobot council, "taking care of the problem" meant pinning the blame on some D-list nobodies. Better yet, on the sole Autobot who shattered the Allspark to keep it from Decepticon hands.
It's all too convenient when the Decepticons arrive and "save their skid plates" from the Elite Guard. Then, offering Optimus Prime a convincing bargain for his family's safety in exchange for his....fealty to the cause.
Can this day get any worse? Oh, wait, yes it can.

“Sure. I wouldn't want my favorite client to feel alone.” He chuckles as he steps away, turning. It's far more efficient for him to lead, given their height difference. Megatron settles a servo on his shoulder, clasping their servos together while he courteously holds the mech's hip strut.
“I'm your favorite client?” Megatron's gravelly voice sweetens, syrupy as if charmed.
A quiet confession meant for only his personal reference. But, it's already too late anyway. He can curse his engex heavy glossa in the morning. They're at a gala, for Primus sake. He can relax a little. “Yes…I…suppose you are. At the very least, none of my other clients discuss poetry or literature with me.”
Megatron tilts his servo to spin him. “Is that the only reason why I'm your favorite?”
Scoffing, he raises an optic ridge. “Fishing for compliments, Megatron?”
A deep chuckle rumbles through his own engine from their proximity. “Perhaps. I made an effort tonight. It'd be nice to be noticed by my favorite advisor.”
