Kiyomi Takada lives. She knows she’s in a dangerous situation, and she can’t stay hidden for long— but all she needs is 48 hours. Just two days before she can enact her ambitions. Two days before the world will know who the real Kira is.

Summary
Light and Mikami survived the warehouse meeting. Kira didn’t.
Near contained the two of them and destroyed both notebooks that had been left in the human world, so their memories became fragments, with each conversation or event relating to the Death Note now replaced with gaping holes in their minds.
Why does Mikami know Light’s name? Why is Light recovering from gunshot wounds? But most importantly, why are the two of them here together?
They’ll have to work together and uncover the mystery of their gaps in memory, why Light’s memory loss stretches back so much further than Mikami’s, and how they can get out of there together.

Misa loves Light. Light loves Misa. Only, that’s not really true, is it? It never has been.
Misa had a crush born out of fascination and Light just wanted to use that for his own end goals.
They appeared to be a rather happy couple to most people. They held hands, they went on dates, they even had sex sometimes. But when they did, their minds would never be focused on the person beside them.
Misa would always be thinking of a certain female Shinigami, and Light would always be thinking of a certain male detective. Neither of them would ever admit it, though. Especially not since their true loves were both dead now.

When L finds a suitable death row inmate to use for his stunt, he’s surprised to notice how uncooperative and demanding he seems to be. L has all the power over him, so why does he think he can make demands? Why does he think it’s even worth it to try? Mr. Tailor has nothing to lose, he’s going to be executed anyway— Who the hell does he think he is?!
…However, giving into Mr. Tailor’s demands would probably be faster than negotiating and trying to make him understand. Besides, L can’t help but find him intriguing.
The whole ordeal turns out to be sweeter than either of them could have possibly imagined, but it’s only fair that a death row inmate should be allowed to choose his last meal.
(Content warning: Lind L. Tailor is canonically a death row inmate, though his specific crimes were never revealed in the anime or manga, and while I didn’t expand upon it much either there are a couple of references to him committing gun violence)

Near relies on Gevanni too much.
Light doesn’t rely on Matsuda enough.Near asks Gevanni to do the impossible and calls it trust.
Light keeps Matsuda out of the way and calls it strategy.But they’re the same. Pawns in someone else’s game, wishing that they could chose their own moves for once.
When they get the chance to talk one on one, all of that becomes clear, and soon they begin to channel their frustration into something else.
Maybe it’s love. Maybe they’re both just lonely.
