Summary
The shrill tone of his SHIELD beeper pulls Steve out of sleep and into battle. He fights robots, he fights Tony's shameless advances, he fights the exhaustion that threatens to take over him, drown him. And then the next morning, he wakes and does it again. Exactly the same.
And again.
And again.
And again.

Summary
Steve Harrington never planned for Eddie Munson.
Steve was supposed to marry his high school sweetheart, have 2.5 children, and take over the family business. He was supposed to live a blissful life on a nondescript cul-de-sac, complete with a white picket fence and a closet full of tasteful polo shirts. He was supposed to make a graceful transition between being the golden boy and being the American Dream.
Mediocrity was what destiny had designed for Steve. Reality had other plans.
(Or, Steve and Eddie, against all odds, fall in love)

“Eddie, look at me.” It was the tiniest reaction that gave it away. The most infimal hesitations of all, and Steve knew something was wrong. “Eds. Look at me.”
His friend sighed and he begrudgingly turned towards him, face low. Steve took three steps forward until he was right in front of Eddie. He moved his hands to hold Eddie’s face but stopped mid way when he flinched.
Steve froze and then he gently held Eddie by his chin, raising his face slowly. He sucked in a breath when he saw the cut going down his eyebrow, over to his cheek, and his lip cut open and slit down.
“Who did this to you?”
“Steve—“
“Who—“ he repeated, harshly. There was a restrained rage simmering in his gut, coming out just a fraction through his tone. “did this to you, Eddie?”

This is the part about break ups nobody talks about.
The aftermath.
But hey, they’ve saved the world more than trice, so getting their friends back together shouldn’t be that hard, right?
Or: Steve and Eddie broke up a month ago. The kids, tired of this weird thing between their friends and convinced they still want each other, do what they do best; Stick their noses right where they don’t belong.

Every date Steve has gone to lately has been horrible. It’s impossible that there’s something wrong with the entire female population of Hawkins, so surely there must be something wrong with him.
“Why don’t you take me on a date then?”
“Wh— what?”
“Take me on a date, pretend, of course, and then I’ll tell you if there’s something wrong with you or not.”
Or: Eddie proposes a crazy idea to see if there's something wrong with him, Steve finds the fact that it works is even crazier.

Summary
Eddie Munson doesn't mind working at the Family Video Store. It's a nice sense of normalcy (not to mention money) and he gets to see Robin more because of it. However, between working together and sharing the same best friend, he's also been seeing a lot more of Steve Harrington.
He wants nothing more than to enjoy mindless fun with his friends now that everything with Vecna is over, but Eddie's finding it hard to move on from what happened. Even if the strangest thing in his life right now was simply the fact he and Steve Harrington might actually be friends.

Summary
It’s the summer of 1987 and Edward Munson was just accused of murder.
Again.
Thank god there's a party of teenagers (some with superpowers), their babysitter, a cool lesbian, the babysitter’s gun wielding ex-girlfriend, her OTHER ex-boyfriend, and his stoned best friend on Eddie's side. What a relief.
There’s murders, mystery, mayhem — it is the late 80s, after all.

Summary
The world is swaying dangerously in front of his eyes. He staggers forward and his hand scrambles for purchase on the rock’s face in an effort to keep himself up. Robin’s rambling about rabies, clearly panicking, and Nancy is tearing a piece of fabric off of her shirt, the sound of material ripping echoing in Steve's ears, and Eddie’s standing off to the side, chewing on his hair as he quietly freaks out.
Through the haze of pain, Steve realises that he’s happy they’re all there with him.
When he’d been writhing on the ground, slowly being choked to death, unable to scream through the searing pain of being torn into, he’d thought to himself:
This is it. I’m going to die alone.
Oxygen deprivation had made it difficult to think clearly, but all he could see in his mind’s eye were faces: Robin, Dustin, Nancy.
Eddie.
So much unresolved, so much left unsaid. In that moment, the dread that settled over him was heavy, suffocating: he was going to die before he even got a chance to make things right.Series

"Okay," Eddie says at last, voice betraying his cool demeanor. "I'll go first." He clears his throat, folds his hands politely in his lap. "I have never been more confused in my life than when I'm with you. And I've taken trig three times and I'm still not a hundred percent on what a hypotenuse is, so, like, it's not difficult to confuse me or anything. But you really take the cake, man."
Steve chews on his lip. "Sorry? I'm... confused too."

“Look, I’m just asking, okay? Not– I don't mean anything by it. But, uh.” His eyes darted back and forth, then he leaned in close to Steve. Steve had gotten used to that, kind of. The guy had no concept of personal space. “Are you flagging?” Eddie finally finished.
Steve shook his head slowly, eyes narrowed. He had no idea what that meant. He had no answer. “What?”
Eddie leaned away from Steve, facing forward again and nodding. “Okay, got it. That answers my question. Carry on.”

Summary
Eddie Munson isn't very good at puzzles.
Well.
He can make them, sure, in the form of weeks-long campaigns for his bandmates and a ragtag group of now sophomores he'd come to adore. He's great at making them. Great at making villains that his party thought they'd had figured out, beaten, only to make a quick 180 and have them come back from the dead for a final, earth-shattering fight. Yeah. He can make them.
What Eddie Munson can't do when it comes to puzzles, is figure them the fuck out. Especially, it seems, when the puzzle comes in the form of a boy one year younger than him and slightly shorter when you don't count his mass of gorgeous hair that makes him, falsely, look taller than Eddie. This puzzle had saved the world with him, had saved him when he was sure he was a goner.
The puzzle's name, of course, is Steve Harrington. King Steve, to many, Hawkins High's golden boy, rich and charming and apparently, a fucking badass.
Eddie never stood a chance.
