While everybody else has been able to move on with their lives after Harry Potter disappeared on the day of the final battle, Hermione feels stuck. Harry rubs his eyes with the back of his hand then blinks a few times before he looks right at her, his eyes just as green and full of life as she remembers.
“Hermione?” He asks, his voice all scratchy but unquestionably his, Harry’s. “Why did you take an ageing potion?” A strange sound forms in her throat and Harry raises his hand to touch her cheek. “Are you alright?”
Hermione shakes her head and squeezes her eyes shut against the hot ache behind them.
“You can’t be real.” But even as she says it, his arms reach for her and he holds her close, and she listens to his heart as it beats frantically in his chest, just under where her ear is pressed.- Language:

Hay situaciones dónde debes tomar una decisión, debes pensar mucho la situación y habrá ocasiones en las que tu decisión no sea la correcta.
¿Y si Harry decidiera renunciar a todo?
¿Y si todo lo que ha estado cargando Harry durante su quinto año empeora?
El quinto año de Harry ha sido muy estresante y difícil de llevar para él, por lo que cansado de todo decide tomar una decisión. Decide que no puede soportar más, toma elecciones que para otros serían impulsivas y cobardes, pero en esta ocasión Harry decide ignorar todo a su alrededor y dar punto final a la historia de su vida.
Pero a Harry, las cosas nunca le salen como él quiere. Y al parecer la muerte no tenía los mismos planes que Harry.
Ahora Harry está en coma y sus allegados sufren su ausencia, mientras que él está obteniendo información relevante.

They find themselves lying down on their sides, their knees touching, Harry’s hand on Hermione’s waist and hers on his chest. The mood shifts so abruptly that he is giddy with it. For the first time ever, Harry thinks what it would be like to kiss Hermione. He licks his lips at the idea, and his heart beats faster. Only it won’t be fair on her, will it? He doesn’t want to break her heart more than he has to. Harry has already decided that he would die for her if he had to, and now he knows he has to. It’s okay, really. It’s okay.
He makes the thought of kissing Hermione as small as possible, until it’s smaller than a grain of sand, until it’s so tiny it’s barely there at all, and then he stuffs it into the deepest corner of his mind and builds a wall around it, just like Snape has taught him to.
“Who do you have a crush on?” Hermione whispers as she moves infinitesimally closer.
