Little AU of the argument in s2 between Hop and El.
Was anyone else super frustrated with Hop during that argument? Cause like, from an outside perspective he f*cked up So Many times. This is me giving him some consequences for that, because El is literally a child who has had no socialization & barely any understanding of how to communicate her feelings. I'm impressed she reacted as well as she did in canon, so I guess that just speaks to the relationship/trust they actually had built up between s1-s2.

Back when Verso still believed himself to be just another face in Lumière’s crowd, he was becoming quite impatient with waiting for his soulmate to appear so they could bring colours into each other’s lives. It wasn’t really that much about the colours themselves, music brought the depth into the world for Verso, but he wanted someone to write the melodies for.
Then, Verso learnt the truth and knew that, in a world where no one was supposed to go through life alone, he was a fake made to exist without anyone to complete his soul.
It’s more than half a century later when fate mocks him again.
