Summary
When a druid clan visits Camelot to forge an alliance, they offer Arthur a protective rune tattoo as a diplomatic gift. The mischievous tattooist notices the way Arthur looks longingly at Merlin and tattoos a rune on Arthur's back that shields him from harm in battle or, apparently, in bed.
With the tattoo still new and heavy with magic, Arthur finds himself a slave to his own awakened desires from its unexpected side effects – until Merlin offers to help, that is.

The door burst open, again, and for a moment all Gaius could think was to wonder how much longer it would hold out before someone managed to wrench it out of its frame. Then he looked away to the king, and was taken aback by the dazed look on the man’s face. Merlin squealed and made for his room, but Arthur had seen him, and grabbed his arm.
“Merlin,” he said, a beatific smile on his face. “I found you, my love.”

Gwen had looked at him with pity, as if she had an idea why the whole thing was actually bothering him, but didn’t say anything supporting either, so she didn’t count. Three female heirs with their parents, all trying to get a firm alliance with Camelot, and no one thought something would go wrong.
Merlin hadn’t really counted on everyone in the castle suddenly being in love with Arthur, but honestly it’s not that surprising, is it?
