Summary
Bucky's back was pressed against the cold floor and he stared through blurry eyes as Steve stood over him. He was trying to push himself as far away as he could, using his hands and bare feet to slide himself out from between Steve's legs but he couldn't find purchase against the wooden floor. Steve's legs were locked on both sides of his hips and Bucky couldn't move, couldn't get away, and the room was swimming before his eyes and he couldn't focus, couldn't think straight. All he could make out was the hazy figure of Steve towering over him and he lifted his arm to push uselessly at Steve's shin.
"P-please," Bucky whispered. His voice was weak, like him, and his jaw trembled as Steve reached down.
Steve slid down onto the floor and effortlessly gathered him into his strong arms, cradling Bucky to his chest as he leaned against the wall. "Bucky," Steve breathed. One of his large hands slid gently into Bucky's hair, the other curving against his spine and pulling him even closer. "You're mine now, remember?"
Steve's grip tightened then it all went black.

Summary
Near the end of the film, Bucky stood and offered to get drinks. Steve requested a glass of water. Pausing the scene, he watched Bucky trail into the kitchen. He realized this was the perfect opportunity to go to the bathroom, so he also got to his feet and started his way through the house. While passing the entryway of the kitchen, he glanced at Bucky stretching his arm up to grab a cup from the top shelf. The bottom of his shirt had ridden up, revealing his lower back and the beginning of his ribcage. That’s when Steve realized the coloration on Bucky’s skin.
He stopped, staring. Heart spasming in his chest, he drew in a shaky breath. “Where did you get those bruises?”

Summary
When he gets to the bedroom, Bucky’s there, sitting on the end of the bed with a towel around his waist. He’s hunched with his forearm on his thigh, his hair damp and wavy in curtains on either side of his face.
Steve approaches slowly, though it’s impossible to sneak up on Bucky. “Hey,” he murmurs again. It’s if he’s just gotten home, but this time he knows what he’ll find. Somehow that changes his perspective. Bucky looks different. Not sad. Almost…beautiful.
He lifts his head, his eyes still runny and sparkling, his cheeks and lips flushed pink. His hair looks black compared to the milky color of his face.
Steve smiles in spite of himself. He crosses the room in two careful strides, then fluidly sinks to his knees at Bucky’s feet. With the added hight of the bed, Bucky’s perhaps eight inches taller. The perspective takes him back in time, and Steve finds him even more perfect.
