The past flickers in his head before it’s gone and replaced with the image of his spot being used by the traveller - who is nothing short of extraordinary - which Kaeya selfishly finds himself becoming jealous of.
Simply because that should be him.

It took weeks of brainstorming, getting barely any sleep, and slaving away but he’s finally done it. He successfully made a way to see the other Spider-Man again.
He dropped both transporters off and explained the mechanics of them before heading back to his own dimension.
Maybe they’ll use them, maybe they won’t. At least he left the choice to come back up to them instead of forcing them to stick around.
I mean why would they choose to stay.

“I—I know…I’m sorry, I just—“ a sigh, heavy and exhausted, like the weight of the world was resting right on his lungs, stealing his air away, “it felt safer, this way, for both of you. But…I don’t want to live like this anymore, it’s not fair to either of you or to me.” he admits quietly, still unfortunately extremely aware of the fact that they’re in public, grateful that Ned has also kept his voice low, even in his shock.
Ned bites his lip, looking Peter over with a heavy concern in his gaze, irises dancing around the whites of his eyes, “Peter, dude, can I please hug you?” he asks, eyes glistening with unshed tears, and Peter finds himself nodding before he even realizes he moved his head. '
A fic that picks up right where we left off with Peter and Ned, because my heart hurts and I needed more.

This high up, the city didn’t look much different from Peter’s New York. There was the Oscorp building, visible even from here, and it was overall a bit less…lit-up than his home city, but it was not strange enough to make him feel uneasy. He sensed his counterpart coming, naturally, but didn’t feel the need to look back: the other Peter would say hi when he landed.
Or, well, that’s what he thought: actually the other Peter hurled something tiny at his head that Peter only caught thanks to his tingle. He held it up to the light to look at the tiny copper disc.
“For your thoughts,” Repeat said, and Peter heard the thud of an obscene number of pizza boxes being dropped on the roof. “They seem so deep and profound.”
“Nah,” Peter said, and squinted at the coin. “Hey, your pennies are weird.”
