It was unexpected when Miyuki had gotten hurt during their match with Seiko. The catcher kept playing like nobody’s business and unsurprisingly, Miyuki had been on strict orders to rest for their next game, limited to play with just 60% of his abilities in their next match at Koshein in five days.
But what really caught everyone off guard was Sawamura. He'd come up with a plan—one that was surprisingly clever, even by their coach’s standards. Of course, it also meant piling a mountain of pressure onto himself and declaring a war against his own stamina. Not that he minded. If Miyuki couldn’t carry the team this time, then Eijun would. That’s what a battery does, right?
If only things hadn’t taken an unexpected turn in the middle of the game—one that put Sawamura right in the center of it all.

“...No,” Tim says finally, meeting Dick’s gaze without flinching. “You don’t get to disappear on us for a year, come back, pretend everything is fine and then expect me to just let it go. That’s not how it works.”
“He’s right you know,” the kid says unhelpfully. Why won’t he just shut up? Why is he always here?
Dick’s lip twitch.
“Tim…” Dick starts, but the warning in his voice doesn't carry much weight. He’s too tired. He’s been too tired for months. Maybe years. “Some things are better left alone.”
“Not when they’re eating you alive.” Tim’s voice drops, softer now, no less firm. “We’re not blind, you know. Jason won’t admit it but he worries. Damian keeps asking why you don't come by anymore. Even Babs—”
“Stop.” Dick’s voice comes out sharper than he means, and Tim flinches. Just barely, but enough for Dick to notice it and feel bad. He scrubs a hand over his face, exhaling hard. “The truth hurts worse than you think. And I’m not gonna put that on you.”

Through the carnage came a figure cloaked in shadow, she appeared to move through the bodies rather than step on top of them. Even standing somewhere around seven or eight feet tall, she was far too humanoid to be a foe, they had long since abandoned their ruse of playing at humanity. She wore a cloak that appeared to dissipate and knit together like threads of smoke, the gossamer threads like the grey of a new dawn. Under the hood, he could only just make out her eyes, a clouded sky blue, pupils, and her gaze unending.
She stopped before him, their eyes meeting through his tears. There was no empathy in her gaze, only his own agony reflected back at him, though her hand was light as a soft breeze as she tipped his chin up.
“Please,” Dick said, even though he didn’t know what he was asking for: release, mercy, death.
“You long to go back.”
“Yes.”
“For a different outcome.”
Dick nearly choked on the word, “yes.”
“I can make it so. I can give you the gift of foresight, but I warn you, it comes at great sacrifice as it does for anyone else who it is bestowed upon.”
Dick Grayson may not be able to change everything, but my god, is he going to try.

***ON INDEFINITE HIATUS***
Alastor is great when it comes to keeping his emotions under control and not letting his guard down. But a few weeks after the failed Extermination Day, Alastor slowly feels his resolve crumbling as a certain King of Hell makes himself at home at the hotel and seems to do everything he can to get on the Radio Demon’s last nerve.
It’s clear that Lucifer thinks that it’s some kind of game, messing up all his hard work. And Alastor won’t stand for it. But besides his (supposed) hatred for Lucifer Morningstar, there is something underneath that Alastor can’t quite describe, a feeling he’s never felt before, and he’s not sure what to think about it. It’s new and scary and a little bit exciting. It’s like an itch he can’t get rid of.
But he’s too prideful to admit it out loud.
Lucifer, however, knows that there’s something between them. He can feel it. And he’s determined to get to the bottom of it, even if he has to make the first move and lay it out bluntly for Alastor.
He just hopes he doesn’t get killed doing so.

Lucifer Morningstar has had his heart broken too many times. His wife disappeared, and his daughter stopped contacting him. The only comfort in his world as of right now was making rubber ducks and making sure Charlie is safe, even if she didn't know he was watching. He hates the Radio Demon, but after finding out about Alastor's injury, he begins to see him in a new light.

Well, Charlie and his therapist said he needed to start to socialize more.
Alastor hated how Lucifer's attention was being taken away from him. Sure, he was annoyed with the King of Hell, but to be ignored because Lucifer found someone else to focus his attention on?! Unforgivable, and now this annoying imp was watching the hotel? Why couldn't it go back to the normal before the King barged into the Radio Demon's life?

A month after the failed Extermination and things are looking up for Lucifer. He's moved in to reconnect with his daughter, he's beginning to rekindle his relationships with the other Sins, and he's finally taking a more active roll in Hell's politics. Lucifer is only a little burnt out from all the socializing and responsibilities after isolating himself for a hundred years. A little stress never killed anybody.
He totally wasn't panicking at the thought that Heaven deemed it a good idea to send three of his estranged brothers down to assess the potential of Charlie's Hazbin Hotel and he totally, absolutely wasn't worried about the fact that the only thing keeping him sane during their stay happened to be a pompous, cannibalistic Radio Demon with a knack of getting on every single one of his nerves.
Yeah, Lucifer was totally fine.

Summary
The extermination has passed, and the hotel has been rebuilt with symbolism pertaining to the two most powerful beings in Hell. Alastor and Lucifer. The two have never seen eye to eye ever in the short amount of time of being around each other.
But as the chaos melted into a calm breeze of change, Lucifer begins to notice the odd behaviors of his daughter's companion as he is now placing some distance between himself and the rest of the hotel staff and crew. And he can't help but wonder as to who this radio demon appears to be.Meanwhile, Alastor is struggling with his open wound from Adam's blade as it just refuses to heal entirely. And he does his best to hide it from the others, of course only two people know of the wound as he can't hide its smell from Husk or Nifty. Husk had even warned him before over his arrogance, not to sound disrespectful but to truly help him. Now that he's injured he is another demon that walks among the fold whether he likes it or not.
But once th King takes notice of his vulnerability he has no choice but to rely on his assistance all while breaking down his carefully placed walls that were meant to not only harm and save him, but also to save the king and Charlie as well.
