Summary
Serale is a mercenary/diplomat for dragonfolk working in the same guild as Dove, a birdfolk hybrid who parades about as a human, apothecary, and member of the guild’s council. Serale’s been courting Dove in the way that dragons do—casually, and allowing any kind of test before sealing the deal. But, since Dove accepted his hairpin, Serale’s of the impression that they’re engaged; an impression that Dove, oblivious to these traditions, decidedly does not share. Nevermind that Dove has trouble with relationships beyond fuck buddies. Oh, and forget that he likes the pseudo-imprint that Serale left on him last time, as if that meant anything. Let’s also ignore that he doesn’t like to face his own emotions either. So, what’s a bird to do when his hormones unwittingly reveal his hand? Get dicked down I guess. 🤷♂️

“You tattooed my bite on your claiming spot,” Xie Lian said, his voice thick with emotion.
As the crown prince and royal heir to the Kingdom of Xianle, Xie Lian is medically induced into presenting as an alpha at a young age. The thing is... his personality isn't very alpha-like.
