(It begins with a long weekend onsen meet-cute, and then, as is only right for two people who love romance novels as much as they do, it takes ten years for them to figure out that they're in one.)

Iruka wondered if Kakashi was scenting him.
The thought was almost disconcertingly pleasing. On the one hand, Mizuki's words, "God, you just reek of ash and metal filings, 'Ruru, take a shower sometimes, damn!" rang in Iruka's ears. "I'm surprised I'm not allergic to you, you stink so badly of leaf mold sometimes." But on the other hand, Kakashi had scented Iruka's wrist and melted into the couch, like it had relaxed him. He had scented Iruka's shoulder, burying his masked nose against Iruka's bare skin. And somewhere, almost drowned out by Iruka's memory of Mizuki's words, were Kakashi's. "God, you smell so good." Iruka knew better than to give credence to the words.... But a tiny part of him couldn't let go of them. Iruka has been part of Kakashi's life for so long that it's slowly become increasingly harder to imagine it without him there. And over the course of the decade plus of their friendship, Kakashi has come to appreciate more and more that Iruka's is such a steadfast and predictable presence, when everything else around him is anything but. If asked years ago, he would have said he could never figure out how to be friends with someone as kind-hearted as Iruka. He doesn't usually enjoy being wrong - but sometimes, it's nice.

Summary
An A/B/O Kakashi/Iruka alternate universe fic taking place in the Fallout universe, particularly fallout 4. Many parts of this series will be used to fill Whumptober and Kinktober fills.
Iruka is granted safety in Vault 111 when nuclear bombs destroy the planet. Unknowingly, this vault is a part of an experiment on long term effects of cryogenics and he is frozen for 200 years. When he wakes up, he has to learn how to survive in the wasteland after the loss of everything he ever knew and loved. He is helped on his journey by experienced waste lander Kakashi, who indentures him into his service.
Knowledge of Fallout is not necessary to enjoy this series. Ratings will change based on each installment.
