He reaches for her arm. "You might feel better if-"
Before he finishes, Tav's upon him, fingers around his throat. Always the damned throat. He struggles briefly before forcing himself into surrender, arms stretched out on the bed.
"I said," she whispers, "not now."--------
It's been three years and a somewhat damaged Tav learned to move on. But what do you do when the devil you killed returns to offer hope - in exchange for your part in his grand design? And what if his design is so monstrous that Tav may not have to kill the devil this time, but save him instead?
