A/N (March 2025) = this story is a mess at the moment, up to chapter 17 had been edited/updated since 2022 (but I am still not happy with those changes, so expect more), and beyond that the story is still part of the old one, so both halves don't even form a cohesive story anymore. I was going to hide this story by making it private until the updates are complete, but I thought that might confuse people as I have no way of announcing what I am doing on AO3 except through writing here. Just bear in mind, if you're a new reader, well...
