Regulus has always known the universe to have a sick sense of humour but he didn’t know it was this cruel. He’d recognize that voice anywhere. To Regulus’s shock and abject horror, James Potter is Jay, there’s no doubt about it.

Regulus already thought that being so obsessed with a show like Temptation Island was embarrassing enough, but when Dorcas, his best friend, convinces him to pretend to be a couple so they can join the new season of the show, he fears he might've hit rock bottom.
To make matters worse, he can't even enjoy what he's trying to think of as an improptu vacation, because of course he'd end up falling for one of his fellow participants. And of course said participant would be none other than James Potter, who'd rather cut his own hand than cheat on his perfect girlfriend, and who is also painfully straight.

James and Regulus had the perfect love story. Until grad school. One disastrous argument sent James storming out, straight into a car accident that wiped his memory clean. Racked with guilt, Regulus erased every trace of their relationship and disappeared from James’s life.
Fast forward to James, now dating someone else, gets rushed to the hospital, only to be treated by a very familiar (and very attractive) Dr. Black. Sparks fly and now James can’t shake the feeling that he'd met the doctor before.
Regulus, meanwhile, is trying very hard to pretend he’s just some random doctor.

Barty, lounging against Regulus's dresser like he was posing for a magazine cover, grinned widely and asked, "On a scale of one to ten, how obsessed are you with our Regulus here?"
"Don't you dare answer that," Regulus hissed, his voice tinged with panic, as if somehow James could prevent the inevitable downfall of his dignity.
James, however, wasn't panicking. After a long pause, he looked between the two of them, then shrugged with all the casualness in the world, his voice unbothered. "...like, twelve?"
There was a beat of silence, a long, drawn-out pause that hung in the air before Barty and Evan lost it completely. The room was immediately filled with the sound of howling laughter.
Regulus, mortified beyond belief, dropped his head into his hands with a groan, wishing he could vanish entirely. "This isn't happening," he muttered into his palms, "I'm either dreaming, dead, or both."

James only meant to get a tiny tattoo, not fall for his best mate’s little brother.

Regulus Black has been in love with James Potter since he was eleven years old not that it matters. He knows that this ‘thing’ they’ve got going on isn’t going to go anywhere, he’s just enjoying himself whilst it lasts. You know what they say; in a for a knut, in for a galleon.
