But when it isn’t what she dreamed, when it leaves her bleeding instead of whole, will Mira and Zoey be able to show her that she deserves more? Or will Rumi spiral so far down there’s nothing left to save?

i keep telling myself it wasn’t that bad. that nothing bad happened. that you were just a nice guy, that maybe i overreacted. but then it plays in my head again and again. i should have said no. i should have done something. i should have fought or screamed or run. but i didn’t. i froze. i just let it happen. i hate that i made it so easy.
why me? why you?
was it something i wore? hoodies and jeans was that somehow too revealing? or maybe it was just me. me being there. me existing in the wrong place at the wrong time. maybe that’s all it took. maybe i made it happen just by being there. i saw the signs, didn’t i? i stayed. i stayed and smiled and pretended it was fine until it wasn’t. so how can it not be my fault?
i don’t even know who i am anymore. i keep looking in the mirror and wondering if anyone else can see it. the stain of it on me. i keep scrubbing, but it won’t come off. i keep thinking if i could just go back, just one second before it happened, i’d be braver this time. i’d say no. i’d scream. i’d stop you. but i didn’t. and i can’t. and now i have to live with this forever.

It rained the day after the Idol Awards. Storm clouds bellowing over the city lights, leaving wet streaks across Seoul like smears of paint on canvas.
Their first day of hiatus. A 3 month break.
Zoey had suggested they go stock up on snacks and pile onto their couch, settling into the lull of movie marathons, take out, and spending time together on their hobbies. They tracked droplets into the entryway of their penthouse, shaking off coats and dropping wet plastic bags on the rug.
Mira only wanted to help, to offer a gentle gesture of affection. Something to ease the tension between them.
She gently grabbed the shoulders of Rumi's coat, attempting to shed it and hang it up for her.
Mira felt her heart shatter when Rumi recoiled away gasping, clinging to her coat. Her chest heaved and pushed out shallow breathes. Mira drew back her own hands as if she had burned Rumi by touching her. Zoey came slowly to Rumi's side.

Post film events as Mira struggles to not feel hurt by the events of the Idol Awards, while Rumi's compulsive lying leads to her pretending everything is fine until Mira can get her to actually talk to her.

Inspired by KuriKuri’s work Blue. This is NOT an official sequel or anything like that, it’s just that I loved this fic so much I decided to write down my imaginings on what happened after the story ended.
Or, Giyū is sent to an alternate timeline where Sabito survives Final Selection, and he gets a second chance to be with him.
(I’d recommend reading KuriKuri’s work first bc 1, it’s amazing. And 2, things will make more sense if you read how Giyū got here in the first place & such)
