Summary
This is a re-work of Season 12 moving forward. I always thought it was a mistake to bring Mary back. Dean never needed to look back in that sense. She never treated him like a child or helped heal the broken inner one. So I always thought, he should have been able to be happy and be a Dad.
I tried really hard to keep the cannon of everything that happened before the start of this work. But with that said, some stuff might just be wrong. I tried, I'm only human. I did my best but I'm sure I've missed a few things. I have read so many amazing works on here that I think some things from those have stuck in my brain and are now cannon =) Whoops.

This project is a love letter to all who made Supernatural what it is today–its creative team AND its fans.
You do not need any prior knowledge of “Chuck won” as an angle of analysis–or even any prior familiarity with Supernatural meta–
to read this. Knowledge of season 15 is encouraged, but hopefully my descriptions are enough to clue you in or refresh your memory when needed.For a lot of people, chunks of this won't be new to you. That's cool. But I do think there is value in seeing all of the pieces together in one place to create the full picture. Regardless, while the sections and chapters are written to build upon each other in an order, they also stand on their own merit if you want to skim or skip around.
My goal was to make this concept as accessible as possible to anyone who may be interested in it.

Summary

Set five years after the finale, this fic follows Castiel and Dean as they get back on the road, hunt things, manage their relationship, meet up with old friends, try to act like grown-ups, and maybe save the world. Once again.

As soon as it was done, he left.
He left Dean's body and Dean left the room.
He knew that he couldn't leave Cas like this, shouldn't leave Cas like this, but he couldn't stay, he couldn't look at him, couldn't touch him, couldn't see skin his own hands had left blemished and tainted and torn, couldn't see the angel violated and hurt and broken by his own body.
The door unlocked the moment he had done what he'd come for, had taken and destroyed and left. It flew open, revealing Sam who he knew had been furiously beating against the wood while- while...oh God, he was gonna throw up.
His brother looked shocked at the picture that unfolded in front of his eyes, his features contorted in disbelief and disgust at the crumpled and naked figure in the centre of Dean's mattress.
Dean's mattress. In Dean's bed. In Dean's room.
He felt sick.

Summary
Dean’s life is a mess. The Mark of Cain is a ticking time bomb, no-one knows how to get rid of it, and in a stellar show of Worst Timing Ever, Cas suddenly figures out he’s got the hots for Dean. To be fair, the last of these complications… doesn’t suck. Talk about giving Dean incentive to live. Time to curb stomp this curse and grab that happily ever after with an angel of the Lord.
… But as it turns out, the curse-beating part has already been handled. Back when he was a Knight of Hell, black-eyed Dean instinctively implemented a solution that will pass the Mark on to an innocent child. His child. Evil? Well, yeah, but that’s right up there in a Hell Knight’s job description, along with the fuckton of magic necessary for the anti-miracle of getting himself - a dude - knocked up.
Dean is going to have to deal with this insanity and the consequences, but not Cas. No. If Dean has anything to say in the matter, his angel will never, ever find out.

"Castiel?" a gentle female voice sounded behind him. Startled, he twisted around to lay his eyes on the human calling his name. Except, it was not. The face he gazed upon was that of an extraordinarily beautiful woman, yes, but as his eyes trailed downwards, her neck gave way to a broad bird chest, covered in pearly feathers, shining golden in the setting sun. The avian body of the creature was perched upon a low-hanging branch of a tree just outside the clearing, strong paws digging into the wood until it creaked, "Is that you, dorogoy?"

Summary
Karkat Vantas always accepted the fact that he was not going to live past nine sweeps. It was just a certainty of his sad, miserable life. At least, that was until his friends found out and decided to hatch a plan to get him out of the Alternian empire. A plan that actually worked.
Now, he was stranded on an alien planet, at the mercy of some strange creature that was either trying to help him or going about some freaky ritual of flirting with your food before you eat it.

Summary
The differences in timelines were strange. Usually when thinking of doomed timelines, all Karkat thought about was whatever mistake split it off from the alpha, not about the versions of himself and his friends inside of them.
When Karkat comes across a doomed Dave in a dreambubble, they end up talking about the differences between the relationships in their respective groups.

Summary
Seeing Dave at his lowest, laid bare, is a scary prospect. Most anyone would shy away from the idea, it's terrifying. Which is why he can't force himself to view it. They are close, inseparable even, but their relationship is crooked road. It's always been less like two puzzle pieces fitting together with a satisfactory click and more like the savagery of two wounded things fighting for survival. Their relationship was less puzzle, and more Pyrrhic victory.

*Dave/Karkat* The closeness with Karkat meant everything to Dave, in ways he could barely explain to himself, let alone voice out loud, and it was enough to have that, to have Karkat’s friendship and his trust, that to have anything else, to want anything else, sounded almost greedy. The thought had never even crossed his mind, so he hadn’t even realised how much he’d wanted that something else.
